J Jonah Joker - J Jonah Jamison was accidentally knocked into a vat of chemicals used to print newspaper comics by Spider-man, which transformed him into the insane Comic Prints of Crime.

Ultronamazo - Created by Hank Pym as an agent of good, possessing the powers of an alternate universe JLA that Pym had discovered, it became sentient and turned on its creator and his fellow Avengers.

Hector Hamodok - Supergenius who blames the Avengers for his paralysis, he uses his superior brain powers to control his Mobius chair and those within his mental range.

Kalibak Odintroll - The forgotten bastard son of Odin. Born to a Troll wench after a one-night stand with a drunken Odin, Kalibak burns with anger over his father dismissing him and his mother. He is a sworn enemy of Odin and Thor.

Steel Skull - Killed in batttle with Captain America during WW II, the Red Skull's brain was transplanted by Arnim Zola into his robot creation, Metallo, giving it sentient life and allowing the former Red Skull to continue his fight with Captain America to present day.

The All New Outsiders

Cyclops - Orphaned at a young age, Scott Summers had trouble fitting in. In fact, after he discovered that he possessed the superhuman ability to emit a perpetual optic blast, fitting in became almost impossible. That was until Scott was taken in by Dr. Niles Caulder and the Doom Patrol. Despite stints on the Teen Titans, the Justice League, and the Justice Society, Scott always found his way back to the Doom Patrol until Dr. Caulder attempted to unleash a gene-bomb designed to mutate the Earth's population into freaks. Scott was forced to kill his mentor and friend, causing a permanent rift between himself and the Doom Patrol. Hoping to prevent Scott from going down an even darker path, Batman personally selected him to join and eventually lead the Outsiders. Cyclops was instrumental in minimizing damage prior to Infinite Crisis, when it was discovered that his optic blasts had a similar effect as a red sun allowing him to stop Superman while he was under the control of Maxwell Lord and even allowing him to weaken Superboy Prime.

Emma Frost - Born into a life of wealth and privilege, young Emma Frost soon discovers that she was also born with the uncanny telepathic abilities. Bored with her normal routine, Emma was recruited by Checkmate where she made her way from simple pawn all the way up to the organization's White Queen. After Maxwell Lord was placed in charge of the organization, Emma was expelled from Checkmate which came as somewhat of a shock to her, especially since she viewed Max as a friend after her time as a member of the Justice League International. Soon, she found herself recruited again, this time by Cyclops as he recruited her to join a previous incarnation of the Outsiders. It was during this time that the two rekindled their love from their time on the JLI and eventually married. Emma's powers were crucial during the Flashpoint event, when she learned that The Flash (Barry Allen) had altered reality by time traveling to prevent the death of his mother. Emma altered the altered Earth's heroes and together they were able to restore Earth's proper timeline without any lasting consequences.

Spider-Man (Peter Parker) - As a young boy, Peter Parker watched helplessly as his parents were murdered in a dark New York City alley. Luckily, Peter was adopted by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May and moved to Gotham City. A fateful field trip to Wayne Biotech leaves teenage Peter with the abilities and proportional strength of a spider which he uses to become a superhero and join the Teen Titans befriending a young Johnny Storm. After his Uncle Ben is killed by the Joker, Bruce Wayne seeing an almost mirror image of himself in Peter, steps in to begin mentoring the young man. Wayne helps Peter channel his rage and anger into a strong sense of responsibility towards justice. While partnering with Batman, Peter met his long time love Barbara Gordon. As an adult, Spider-Man became a crucial member of the Justice League, as his quick wit and intelligence are often critical to the team's success.

Nova (Richard Rider) - Nothing extraordinary ever happened to average, everyday teenager Richard Rider...that is until he was asked to become the first human member of the Nova Corps! The Nova Corps worked in tandem with the Green Lantern Corps until the Green Lanterns were all but destroyed during Hal Jordan's Emerald Twilight. Spread thin by the vacuum created in the absence of the Green Lanterns, the Nova Corps were ill prepared during an all out Reach Invasion. Richard soon found himself the sole survivor of the Nova Corps. Becoming the Nova Prime, Richard was able to band a ragtag group of cosmic heroes together and successfully stop the Reach once and for all. When Nova returned to Earth after the Infinite Crisis, he was instrumental in reforming the Justice League and the Nova Force was crucial to repelling Nekron and the Black Lanterns during the Blackest Night.

Human Torch (Johnny Storm) - Originally recruited to be a member of the Challengers of the Unknown, Johnny Storm stayed with the team until he was exposed to cosmic radiation which transformed him into the aptly named Human Torch. Wanting to explore life as a superhero, Johnny left the Challengers to join the Teen Titans where he met his best friend, Peter Parker. Later, after joining the Justice Society of America, Johnny bravely sacrificed his life during the Final Crisis with Apokolips...or so everyone thought. Having been rescued by Nova from the Source Wall itself, a more mature Johnny joins the Outsiders with more purpose and determination than ever.

Rogue - When the woman formerly known as Anna Marie discovered her superhuman ability by siphoning the life force of her boyfriend, her life was forever changed. Becoming Rogue, she took to the streets running from anyone and everyone until she was recruited by the original Fearsome Five. Not wanting to stay in one place for very long, Rogue left the group before being recruited by Deathstroke the Terminator. Eventually Rogue was freed from Deathstroke's control and became a longstanding member of the Doom Patrol but left the group when her friend Cyclops was forced to kill Dr. Caulder. Rogue eventually joined the Justice League International and played an important role when Doomsday arrived on Earth and attempted to kill Superman. When the Justice Society of America reformed, Rogue was asked to join by Jay Garrick and Alan Scott and it was with the Justice Society that Rogue finally learned how to control her powers. When the Society eventually disbanded, Rogue was on her own again, until receiving an invitation from her old friend Cyclops to join his new Outsiders.

Jack of Hearts - Born to a human man and an alien woman, Jack Hart never had an easy life. Unfortunately, that life was made even harder when he was accidentally exposed to an experimental energy source invented by his father called "Zero Fluid." After his father was murdered, Jack used his new found abilities to gain revenge on those responsible. Feeling no sense of justice or satisfaction from this revenge, Jack changed his direction and attempted to go down the path of the hero. Despite joining several teams, Jack never really made a name for himself until he was forced to make the ultimate sacrifice during Imperiex's War of Worlds. Unfortunately, Jack was not allowed to rest in peace, as he was reanimated as a Black Lantern during the Blackest Night event almost being responsible for the end of all life in the universe. Luckily Jack was given a new lease on life when he was brought back to life during the Brightest Day. Really wanting to make a difference and not wanting to waste his second chance, Jack of Hearts joins the Outsiders.

Uncanny Avengers



Red Lantern (Hal Jordan) - Hal Jordan Summers watched helplessly as he held onto his brother Alex while falling from the burning wreckage of his family's plane. As the brothers plummeted towards the Earth beneath them, Hal's mutant abilities first manifested. Without the aid of a ruby quartz ring to focus his energy, Hal's body perpetually emits a powerful concussive ruby energy. Years later, Hal became Professor Charles Xavier's first X-Man, leading the X-Men through their best and worst times. Eventually, Red Lantern would also become the headmaster of Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and the public face of all mutant kind. Tragedy would continue to visit Red Lantern, as the Phoenix Force, the same entity that plagued his second wife Jean Grey, would return to Earth and turn Hal into the all powerful Parallax. It took the combined forces of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to stop Hal but not before he took the life of his friend and mentor, Charles Xavier. Now, Hal seeks redemption for actions that were not entirely his own.

Black Canary (Dinah Lance) - As a young socialite, one would think that Dinah Lance had the world at her fingertips. Unfortunately, as the middle child of a wealthy Massachusetts family she didn't have the attention from the one source that she craved. After discovering that she possessed the mutant ability to produce an ultrasonic "Canary Cry," Dinah struck out on her own. Before she could hit rock bottom, Dinah was brought into the infamous Hellfire Club where she became the club's Black Queen. Over the years, this brought her close to several prominent members of the Marvel Universe but also caused her to clash with the X-Men on many occasions. Upon parting ways with the Club, Dinah took on the name of Black Canary and became a teacher to the mutants of Generation X and Genosha. Eventually Dinah became headmistress of the X-Men alongside her lover, Red Lantern and has been a prominent member of the X-Men ever since. When the Phoenix returned to Earth, Dinah found herself possessed by the entity and was forced to watch as it brought some of her dark past back to the surface. Now Black Canary chooses to stand by the love of her life as they go down the path towards redemption together.

Starfire - Princess Koriand'r was just a small child when her home planet of Tamaran was invaded by the Shi'ar Empire. Stripped of her title and separated from her loved ones, Kori was forced to spend the remainder of her youth in servitude. As she plotted her escape and revenge, she slowly made her way up within the ranks of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. When the Imperial Guard first clashed with the X-Men, Starfire saw her moment, betraying the guard and escaping to Earth. After joining the X-Men, Starfire began a long term relationship with founding X-Man Iceman. When the heroes of Earth started their Civil War, Starfire left the Earth hoping to finally return home to Tamaran but instead found a universe at war. Kori found herself leading a United Front against the Annihilation Wave and ultimately dealt the final fatal blow to Annihilus himself. After narrowly defeating Ultron and the Phalanx, Kori returned to Earth, hoping to help her adopted home take a more active role in defending the universe.

Firestorm - At the age of 16, young Ronnie Raymond Storm joined his sister, her fiancee, and pilot Ben Grimm on a fantastic journey that changed their lives forever. Exposed to cosmic radiation, the quartette returned to Earth as the Fantastic Four! Ronnie discovered that not only had he gained a number of superpowers related to fire but he also gained the ability to transmute inorganic matter. Ronnie's adventures with his family have taken him all over the universe, even temporarily becoming a herald of Galactus. Ronnie was thought to have perished in the Negative Zone when he singlehandedly fought off the Annihilation Wave, preventing the Wave from invading Earth and allowing his friends to escape. It was later discovered that Ronnie had survived this encounter and after rallying a group of other captives, was able to overthrow the Wave, conquer the Negative Zone, and return to Earth a more mature hero.

Power Girl - They say a girl never forgets her first kiss, in Karen Starr's case all she wants to do is forget. Upon kissing her boyfriend Cody for the first time, Karen was terrified to discover that she froze him solid with her breath and unfortunately that was just the start of it. Running away from home, Karen was taken in and eventually adopted by Mystique and Destiny. They pair raised Karen nurturing all the negative feelings she had about her seemingly endless supply of mutant abilities until she was a powder keg of anger and rage. Eventually, as Power Girl, Karen joined her adopted mother's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants plaguing both the Avengers and the X-Men. However, the trauma of all the bad that she was being forced to participate in took its toll on her psyche, causing her to seek out help with the X-Men. Hesitant at first, the X-Men grew to love and care for Karen finally giving her a home and a family. Karen went on to lead several squads of X-Men and has been in an on again off again relationship with both her fellow X-Man Gambit as well as prominent X-Villain Magneto.

The Flash (Wally West) - Former New Warrior & New Avenger (not Illuminati New Avengers). Best friends with Kyle.

Adam Strange - Guardians of the Galaxy (written like the "Planet Heist" mini, a little like MacGyver in space)

Lady Blackhawk (Zinda Blake) - Invaders during WWII, the go-to pilot in books like Wolverine, Captain America, etc. Later on, a main character in Fearless Defenders.

Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) - Earth's only Green Lantern, former New Warrior & New Avenger. Wally's best friend.

The Question (Vic Sage) - Loner, conspiracy nut in the MU. Like Batman without the people skills and the money. The lone hero out of a very corrupt Chicago, but will help other heroes on occasion.

Supergirl (Linda Danvers) - Basically Marvel's version of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer meets Veronica Mars. While she fights several threats in her hometown of Leesburg, VA (with an increasing percentage of supernatural threats), she runs into very few superpowered allies. For a short time, she's an "Earth born angel". As she gets older, she runs into characters like Doctor Strange. She has several ties with the members of PAD's X-Factor. Does not wear a costume, just street clothes or specialized gear.

Hawkman ("Carter Hall") - Back to the "Conan with wings" take. Or like Ares. But with the reincarnation aspect in play. When he's killed, he's instantly reborn somewhere and grows up like a normal person, "inheriting" memories of his life on his 21st birthday. I'd take advantage of the history of the MU and show him fighting Apocalypse in Egypt, Sinister in colonial times, the Nazis in WWII, Atlantis at some point, etc. And he doesn't always win, but he has to live with the consequences of his failures. He's able to use what he learns in each lifetime and add it to his knowledge of how to cause destruction, making his mind his most deadly weapon (followed by his mace, flight and enhanced strength, of course). Most of the time, he wears shirts.

Prime (Kevin Green) - He's how "Shazam" (ugh) should be. Think Ultimate Spider-Man set in the DCU with more of an original feel to it. At this point, he's still very young, so there's no team affiliations yet.

Ronin (Maya Lopez) Part of Batman, Inc. Often works with Blackbat (Cassandra Cain).

Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) After making a deal with the devil to save his fiance (which, in the end, didn't quite work out), Danny Ketch finds himself bonded to a demon! Drifting for years, trying to do some good while looking for a cure (reminiscent of David Banner on the Hulk TV show), he eventually finds a spot on the Justice League Dark. He can not shift into the Ghost Rider until "innocent blood has been spilled", a fact that his more informed enemies can easily exploit.

Thunderstrike (Kevin Masterson) This would be the nuDCU's version of Starman, with Kevin as the newest version of Thunderstrike. I'd change it up a bit (he's living with his grandfather, who found the enchanted mace and was a hero during WWII, his missing father was deemed "unworthy" to possess the power, etc) but it would be reminiscent of Loeb's Nova, The Last Starfighter, etc. Although he's a little older than them, he'd be a part of the Young Justice group. He beefs up a little when he turns into Thunderstrike, but he's still recognizable as Kevin (unlike Prime or Adam/He-Man in the 200x series).

Captain Marvel/Photon/Pulsar (Monica Rambeau) Part of the JLI, the Justice League, a space based hero... and, occasionally, part of the Birds of Prey.

I have always wanted to bring Captain America to the DCU and make him the leader of the Justice Society of America. The Man with No Fear has always said that Justice is blind, now he brings this philosophy to the JSA. More often than not she is thought of as a Goddess so it is only fitting to put Storm on a team that had many Godlike beings walk among their members. The original JSA had an Android among it's ranks that showed more heart than many humans, I would place The Vision in that role. A Vision created by Ivo that finds his true heart and joins the ranks of the JSA to take down the onslaught of his Android "brother" Amazo. The original JSA had Captain Marvel aka Shazam so this versions should have a Marvel of their own, so I give them Marvel Man. Must have a super genius on this team but I wanted someone that could be super powerful as well, so I chose Hany Pym, he gives the option of becoming Ant-man Giant Man Goliath Yellow Jacket Wasp etc. I need a legacy hero in my JSA and also a newbie to the hero scene so I am gonna combine both sorta with my version of Stargirl, Sister Grimm.

Superman, aka Reily Parker, is a strange visitor from another world. Young Kal-El was sent into the voids of deep space by his parents when his home planet of Krypton was on the brink of destruction. His rocket crashed landed in Forest Hills, NY and was discovered by young couple Ben and May Parker. Never having had children of their own they took in the passenger of the fallen spacecraft and raised him as their own. Ben would instill in young Reily the morals and ethics that would make him the first and greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe. Superman would appear and usher in the age of heroes knowing that with Great Power Always Comes Great Responsibility! Aquaman Monarch of the 7 Seas, King of the Oceans, Crown Prince of Atlantis! Born of an Atlantean Princess and surface dwelling lighthouse keep, Arthur Curry is a thing of myths and legends destined to rule over that which covers most of the entire planet Earth. Aquaman joined forces with Superman during WWII to form the first Superhero team known as The Invaders! The last member of The Invaders is an Android with the soul of a Man! Jim Hammond thought he was a man but he was actually a machine created for scientific purposes that was turned into a Weapon of Mass Destruction! Hammond rebelled against those that wanted to use him for their own gains and instead found kindred spirits that accepted him for who he was. The Red Tornado would then fight alongside his fellow Invaders saving the world many times over.

The Fantastic Four



Mr. Atomic Ray Richards is among the top 5 most brilliant minds in the Marvel Universe. Wanting to learn more and go further, stretching the bounds of scientific theory into frontiers no one else had reached before. He along with his 3 teammates used and exploratory rocket to try and reach those heights only to be bombarded with Cosmic Rays that gifted them each with new extraordinary abilities! The group remained together now known as The Fantastic Four, the Worlds Greatest Superhero Team! Dr. Light aka Kimiyo Richards was granted the ability to bend and control light to her, she later marries Ray Richards and their team becomes more than a team but the First Family of Superheroes! Vic Stone was the pilot of the rocket that was bombarded with cosmic rays that transformed him into more machine than man. If not for this transformation though none of the group would have survived. By becoming one with the ship Vic was able to do communicate with the ship and do things he never would have been able to as a normal pilot. Now as the hero Cyborg he fights side by side with the other members of the FF!!

Tragedy would continue to visit Red Lantern, as the Phoenix Force, the same entity that plagued his second wife Jean Grey, would return to Earth and turn Hal into the all powerful Parallax. It took the combined forces of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to stop Hal but not before he took the life of his friend and mentor, Charles Xavier. Now, Hal seeks redemption for actions that were not entirely his own.

Black Canary (Dinah Lance) - As a young socialite, one would think that Dinah Lance had the world at her fingertips. Unfortunately, as the middle child of a wealthy Massachusetts family she didn't have the attention from the one source that she craved. After discovering that she possessed the mutant ability to produce an ultrasonic "Canary Cry," Dinah struck out on her own. Before she could hit rock bottom, Dinah was brought into the infamous Hellfire Club where she became the club's Black Queen. Over the years, this brought her close to several prominent members of the Marvel Universe but also caused her to clash with the X-Men on many occasions. Upon parting ways with the Club, Dinah took on the name of Black Canary and became a teacher to the mutants of Generation X and Genosha. Eventually Dinah became headmistress of the X-Men alongside her lover, Red Lantern and has been a prominent member of the X-Men ever since. When the Phoenix returned to Earth, Dinah found herself possessed by the entity and was forced to watch as it brought some of her dark past back to the surface. Now Black Canary chooses to stand by the love of her life as they go down the path towards redemption together.

Starfire - Princess Koriand'r was just a small child when her home planet of Tamaran was invaded by the Shi'ar Empire. Stripped of her title and separated from her loved ones, Kori was forced to spend the remainder of her youth in servitude. As she plotted her escape and revenge, she slowly made her way up within the ranks of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. When the Imperial Guard first clashed with the X-Men, Starfire saw her moment, betraying the guard and escaping to Earth. After joining the X-Men, Starfire began a long term relationship with founding X-Man Iceman. When the heroes of Earth started their Civil War, Starfire left the Earth hoping to finally return home to Tamaran but instead found a universe at war. Kori found herself leading a United Front against the Annihilation Wave and ultimately dealt the final fatal blow to Annihilus himself. After narrowly defeating Ultron and the Phalanx, Kori returned to Earth, hoping to help her adopted home take a more active role in defending the universe.

Firestorm - At the age of 16, young Ronnie Raymond Storm joined his sister, her fiancee, and pilot Ben Grimm on a fantastic journey that changed their lives forever. Exposed to cosmic radiation, the quartette returned to Earth as the Fantastic Four! Ronnie discovered that not only had he gained a number of superpowers related to fire but he also gained the ability to transmute inorganic matter. Ronnie's adventures with his family have taken him all over the universe, even temporarily becoming a herald of Galactus. Ronnie was thought to have perished in the Negative Zone when he singlehandedly fought off the Annihilation Wave, preventing the Wave from invading Earth and allowing his friends to escape. It was later discovered that Ronnie had survived this encounter and after rallying a group of other captives, was able to overthrow the Wave, conquer the Negative Zone, and return to Earth a more mature hero.

Power Girl - They say a girl never forgets her first kiss, in Karen Starr's case all she wants to do is forget. Upon kissing her boyfriend Cody for the first time, Karen was terrified to discover that she froze him solid with her breath and unfortunately that was just the start of it. Running away from home, Karen was taken in and eventually adopted by Mystique and Destiny. They pair raised Karen nurturing all the negative feelings she had about her seemingly endless supply of mutant abilities until she was a powder keg of anger and rage. Eventually, as Power Girl, Karen joined her adopted mother's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants plaguing both the Avengers and the X-Men. However, the trauma of all the bad that she was being forced to participate in took its toll on her psyche, causing her to seek out help with the X-Men. Hesitant at first, the X-Men grew to love and care for Karen finally giving her a home and a family. Karen went on to lead several squads of X-Men and has been in an on again off again relationship with both her fellow X-Man Gambit as well as prominent X-Villain Magneto.

Damage - Accidentally exposed to an experiment involving the DNA of various super humans, young Grant Emerson discovered that he had gained fantastic new abilities...that came with a terrible burden. If Grant doesn't sufficiently use his abilities, the extra energy collects causing him to expel a devastating explosion. Over the years, Grant was able to prevent these accidents by pursuing a life of super heroics starting out as a New Warrior and making his way up to a full-fledged member of the Avengers. Unfortunately, the machinations of a deeply disturbed Scarlet Witch led to Grant destroying Avengers Mansion and killing fellow teammate Scott Lang in the process. When Grant returned to heroics, he made the mistake of joining a new team of New Warriors who were attempting to exploit America's obsession with reality television. While attempting to bring a group of super villains to justice, Grant came to blows with Nitro. The combination of their explosive powers leveled the entire state of Connecticut, leaving Grant horribly scarred both physically and mentally, the only survivor.

Two-Face: great villain for DD and Punisher. So misused in the DCU.
Parasite: I've said this a thousand times, Parasite would be a great Hulk (and even Thor) villain.
Deadshot: I can see him being a good rogue for Hawkeye or Winter Soldier
Zoom (Hunter Zolomon): "Ironman, I want to make you a better hero"
Black Adam: Norse vs Egyptian. Thunder vs. lightning. Thor vs. Teth.
Circe: Foil for Wanda? Yep. Foil for Doc Strange? Yep. Foil for the Defenders, regular or Fearless? Yep.
Gorilla Grodd: the FF love looking for new civilizations, be it on earth or elsewhere. Gorilla kingdom would be perfect for the FF to explore, and Grodd bring a perfect foil for Reed.

The Secret Society



The Ghost: a perfect foil for Batman and Bruce Wayne. Bats needs villains that arent psychotic, but someone after his secrets.
Bullseye: Nightwing is a natural acrobat, and incorporates that into his fighting style. Seems like a perfect challenge for someone who never misses.
Executioner: if you don't think a Skurge vs Wonder Woman battle wouldn't be epic, you need your head examined.
Baron Blood: Long before Batman was the protector of Gotham, the GL Alan Scott was and he his arch nemisis was most gothic indeed.
Klaw: a Hal Jordan baddie. Can objects created by light defeats objects created by sound?
Kraven the Hunter: who will be hunted? Nightwing, that's who.
