Quick question - If Gail Simone wasn't writing the comic and another writer produced the same amount of quality, would people still be giving the comic the sales and acclaim that it currently gets from fans?

Quick answer - Absolutely not. Many Oracle fans wouldn't have even touched the thing without the tacit approval of Gail writing the book.

I would still be buying it if another creator were writing it and it was as good as it is now.

It be a grand failure. ...... Maybe that's why DC knows not to remove Simone.
