What Was The Last TV Show You Watched?

Postby Sunless » Mon Mar 11, 2013 5:47 am

I see the movie thread and I think its pretty cool, but these days I don't watch as many movies. I find that TV (scripted) has surpassed movies in term on content, pushing the envelope and characters.

I think Breaking Bad is better than any film I've watched in the last ten years. And yes just like movies there is a lot of shit out there, but there is so much good stuff. And unlike movies you don't have to wait 2-3 years for more and you get more of it. Yeah sure an argument could be made for quality over quantity. But I find TV has become more consistent and satisfying.

Agree/Disagree no matter! What was the last Television show you watched? Was it scripted? Was it reality? Was it the news? Let's hear it!

For me it was one of my favourite TV shows Californication.

I watched the latest episodes of Spartacus: War Of The Damned and The Americans last night, both were excellent.

House of Lies. Loves Kristen Bell and love the show. But Doug Guggenheim is by far my fave character.

Yeah, it's very underrated, people see all the sex and violence and dismiss it as something dumb, but it's a really well-written, complex show.

With lots of sex and violence :-D

And also, Gannicus is the most bad-ass character in history.

Gannicus rocks and I agree with you. People dismiss it as sex and gore, but the writing is clever and the acting is great.

Liam has also done Andy's legacy proud. The show could have ended, but Andy told them to keep going tell the story and gave his blessing and I think Liam has filled the role wonderfully. He's not the same but he is, if that makes sense?

Yeah, McIntyre is great, I haven't watched Blood & Sand for a long time now, so to me, McIntyre is Spartacus, he has really exceeded expectations and done what, at the start, seemed like an impossible task. I hope he gets a good career in movies, he's better than most modern action stars.

There are rumours of a Caesar spin-off once the show is done, I would be down with that, I really like this show's take on Caesar.

As do I. Though some part of me hopes for an Inglorious Basterds take. Tarantino killed Hitler so maybe our heroes can pull through?

No it won't end well. But it will be epic.

After the low of last night's Walking Dead, we caught the new Top Gear - which was excellent.

Top Gear simply continues to be my favorite current TV show (especially on their challenge road trips)

The Following. The previous two episodes before the latest one.

The show irritates me but I really like Kevin Bacon in it. He was especially great when he was being held captive and was psyching out those dudes.
