CM Punk/Undertaker story Paul Bearer told in August 2012 which basically wipes its ass with the dress code violation story:

The late Paul Bearer (Bill Moody) captured Taker's respect for Punk in an interview on the PWTorch Livecast in August 2012.

"C.M. Punk is a class act, and he's got it," Bearer exclusively told PWTorch editor Wade Keller. "I didn't meet Punk until I went back for that six-month run (2010-2011). I had watched him on television, of course, but I had never met him in-person before.

"I'll never forget myself, Undertaker, Big Show, and a couple of other guys standing over in the corner just shooting the breeze. C.M. Punk came walking by and Taker says, 'Percy, have you ever met Punk?' I said, 'No, I havent.' Taker called him over there and he's very, very respectful to our business and to me for having never met me before.

"Taker introduced me to him and Taker's exact words to me were: 'Punk - he's one of us.' That was how I was introduced to C.M. Punk by The Undertaker. For him to say that about a talent, that just means everything in the world. And to say, 'He's one of us,' that just meant something to that little group that was there."

Regarding Cena 2012 year of hell montage...I think it would've resonated a lot more if he didn't always have matches stolen from him and actually conceded even a few clean pins that were free of shenanigans.

Every match and segment on tonights show has been either really good or really bad. No inbetween to blurring of the lines 50% shit and 50% greatness.

I thought Punk stealing the urn was a classic heel move and I hope he carries it around with him until WM, and damn I just realized it while typing unless I totally missed a segment John Cena was no where on the show tonight except for the video package fieldy mentioned.

God if I didn't already have a crazy amount of respect for Punk, this just cements it even more. 8)

Is it wrong that I'm enjoying the drama and storyline more of Punk/Taker which only had a week than all of Cena/Rock II? I'm almost surprised Punk didn't use the urn to smack Kane and win the match.

Though a great tribute to Bill Moody. I totally forgot about the Mr. Fuiji/NYPD Blue bit he did until they reaired it.

Sweet Raw. The Punk stuff was great.

And I always mark out when Brock's music hits.

No WWE champ on TV. LAME.

But guys it's not possible for the CM Punk/Undertaker stuff to be great. There's not enough time.

Never said it couldn't be great, in fact I think I said it could steal the show at Mania. My point was that Punk/Rock/Cena was already an established storyline and they didn't need to do Punk/Taker this year.
