Cowboy Bebop is my favourite anime, and perhaps the only example of the medium that I would actually classify as being 'great'. I mean, I loved Pokemon and Dragon Ball and all that, but they aren't good.

Cowboy Bebop is a great TV show, anime or not.

I liked it better when it was called Firefly.

pretty much summed up my thoughts. except i hated pokemon and dragon ball. the final episode seemed like a perfect ending and a great payoff to everything that had been built up.

the movie was a mixed bag to me, great moments but some of the trippy scenes got annoying (like the native. recovered towards the end for another great ending. also loved trying to match up all the homages used throughout it and the episode titles.

hell there's just too much good stuff to simply talk about some of it. one of the best series ever period.

I guess I need to give this another shot. I tried watching it a few years ago and only got about 2 or 3 episodes in before something else took my attention away.

Loved this show, and you're right about the opening being one of the best ever.
Think I'll look for it for a re-watch. It's been years.

No, neither are awesome, they are more depressing than people that watch wrestling past the age of fifteen.

No, but I like Ant-Man.

It's not a huge leap in logic to assume that if you're avatar is of wrestling, you like wrestling.

The Pokémon games are genuinely fantastic. The anime is atrocious. The movie is one of the single worst movies I have ever seen. It's so shit that it's actually kind of beautiful how shit it is because it takes itself so seriously. (How seriously? It opens with the villain asking metaphysical questions about why he exists and what life is etc. The last thirty minutes or so are crying Pokémon punching each other in the face over and over again whilst melodramatic music plays and the characters talk about the futility of fighting. It's hilarious).

But everyone should play the games. They rock.

I haven't watched wrestling since 1987.

You know what I would like to see? An anime that was closer to the games. I understand that the Pokémon Adventures manga is supposed to be a bit like that. Why not a TV series along the same lines?

I only watched the first season of Pokémon but that was like eighty episodes or something (90% of which was filler) and from what I can see it looks like Ash is still basically rubbish at Pokémon even after something like 4 billion episodes. Seriously dude, get a different hobby or a job or something because you suck at Pokémon.
