Video game playing

Postby Croaker » Sun Nov 18, 2007 9:44 pm

Well, we have music listening, movie watching, etc., so I figured we should have a video game thread.

I picked up Assassin's Creed for the 360. Really fun, beautiful scenery. Not a normal hack-n-slash game, more sneaking than I thought it would be.

Also picked up Ravin' Rabbids 2 for the Wii. A lot like the first one, but still lots of fun with expanded multi-player.

We're not really buying anymore games until we actually have time to play them. We get about an hour of Halo 3 each night unless Neva is still awake...

Our next purchase will probably be GH3, though.

I don't play games at all. So I don't know what anyone's talking about in terms of games.

I feel so left out. :smt022

GH3 might be a ways off...I spent the half of $ that was going to be my share on Babylon 5 DVDs. I think the next game we'll actually get is going to be Mass Effect. We both loved KOTOR, and I think Jade Empire...not sure Vicki ever finished that...although she did also like Fable, so Mass Effect should be an easy pick for both of us. And as soon as Talisman is released via XBLive Arcade, we'll have that.

How's COD 4? I almost picked it up, but got Assassin's Creed instead.

Good idea.

PS2
Ico-I think I'm going to need help with this one.

Front Mission 4-It's a grid based RPG, it was fun up until I got my ass handed to me by Germans.

I just finished Dragon Quest 8, I'd been playing it all summer. It feels good having that off my back but I think I missed a lot of stuff.

xbox
Morrowind-I'm giving it one last go. I messed up my saved game last spring.

DS
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass-really fun once you get used to the controls. I found the last sea chart so I think I'm almost done.

They're both awesome in their own way. My brother comes up to me last night, and says "I was just playing COD4. I picked up a shotgun off a dead marine. I used it to shoot a commie in the head, and brains and blood covered everything. It was the most awesome thing in any video game."

But personally, I'm liking Assassin's Creed MUCH better.

On my PS2, I'm always playing

- Guitar Hero II
- NHL '08

I just started, and finished Jak & Daxter: Precursor Legacy. I tried Chaos Legion, but I didn't like it that much.

I'm hoping to have an XBox 360 by the New Year :)
