Saga vol. 1 by Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples

Hawkeye vol. 1 by Matt Fraction & David Aja et. al

Manhattan Projects by Jonathan Hickman & Nick Pitarra

Those are my three favorites and the good thing is that they're all fairly recent so if you like the series you can always hunt down back issues fairly easily.

Ok awesome! The concept for Manhattan Projects sounds pretty cool. I think I might give that one a shot.

If you do decide on picking up another one, I second Keb's recommendation of Saga. Saga is easily one of my current favorites.

Saga and Hawkeye are easily 2 of the best books currently being published and the first volume of both books are currently available. For a less conventional series, I recommend the Sixth Gun from Oni Publishing.

I may pick it up instead of the Massive. I guess it will depend upon which book is available when I go to pick up my books tomorrow.

Every time someone talks about the Massive, I imagine it's about rave culture, E pills and junglist MCs...

So I just picked up The Manhattan Projects. The comic shop didn't have Saga in stock, but I put a special order in for it, so I should be getting it next week. I'll let you guys know what I think once I read them. Thanks for the recommendations!

Re-read Chew vols 1 & 2 last night. Chew is still one of my favorites. I really enjoyed going back and re-reading these early issues to see where some of the plotpoints that are now reaching fruition are getting their setups. I totally glossed over the weird fire writing and Attilus 72374 or whatever in issue 3. I also forgot that Amelia was growing a Gallsaberry in her garden at home. I also hope they bring E.G.G. back.

I've read everything he's done, and I can't be mad at you for this one. Even when it doesn't quite connect, the ambition and creativity is usually something to enjoy.

Yeah that's how I felt about Red Wing. He's good. I just got F4 v5, FF v3 and Pax Romana. Hopefully it arrives soon. Only 1/3rd of the last order has arrived and I am angry.

Pax Romana is brilliant. Very very talky but the concept alone is very cool and I love Hickman's own art.

The only time I've seen his art is his short story in Popgun (1 or 2, can't remember). It wasn't much. I did notice that he likes circles.
