![]() Bleeding Cool, now pretty much the official Human Resources department for DC Comics, has announced that Joshua Hale Fialkov will be walking off the Green Lantern books. Source: Bleeding Cool The scene at DC's offices in New York City this morning was a familiar one: dozens of creators huddled around a computer monitor, watching Twitter and rumor website Bleeding Cool for news of which of them will still be working for DC Comics next month. The commotion began yesterday when Bleeding Cool rumormonger Rich Johnston broke a rumor, confirmed this morning, that Andy Diggle would be leaving Action Comics, allegedly due to disputes with editors. Then, this morning, as revealed by The Outhouse, Action Comics writer Tony Daniel was shocked to learn via Twitter that he would be taking over writing duties. Then, Bleeding Cool promised to announce yet another walk-off, leaving creators wondering who was next. "It could be me," admitted Batman writer Scott Snyder, whose tenure at DC has been relatively drama-free. "I mean, I don't think I'm angry with anybody, but it's hard to tell until Bleeding Cool announces it, you know?" "Shit,' said Wonder Woman writer Brian Azzarello, handing a stack of notebooks to series artist Cliff Chiang. "I don't think it's me, but let me give you my notes for the stories, just in case you take over writing duties." Superman writer Scott Lobdell nearly got into a shoving match with artist Tyler Kirham when Kirkham suggested Lobdell walk off the book so Kirkham could make some extra money pulling double duty as a writer. The two were ordered to report to Bleeding Cool for sensitivity training. "Things are out of control," worried DC head honcho Dan Didio. "I wish Rich would hurry up announce the change already." To everyone's relief, Johnston finally revealed the news: Joshua Hale Fialkov will be walking off of the two Green Lantern books he was recently announced as the writer of, according to Johnston's rumor. The change is unconfirmed, but come on. It's true. Fialkov is allegedly upset with DC's constant editorial interference, first brought to public attention by superstar artist Rob Liefeld's departure from DC last year via Charlie Sheenesque Twitter meltdown. "Joshua who?" asked Didio, along with 99% of our readers. Stay tuned to The Outhouse, as we will be reporting on Johnston reporting on DC's creative team changes for the remainder of the day, though we would appreciate if DC and it's creators would pace their self-destruction out a little bit, as it's hard to pump these articles about their comical incompetence out so quickly.
