Well, they did buy this franchise, in which brother and sister kissed each other romantically. They also bought Ultimate Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, a brother and sister who did... a bit more than just kissing...

So maybe Disney's into that sort of thing now.

I'm sure not even one Disney executive has ever read a Marvel comic.
They bought Marvel because it was good business.

P.A. Works Animates Uchōten Kazoku by Tatami Galaxy's Morimi

Anime studio P.A. Works (True Tears, HanaIro, Tari Tari) is producing an adaptation of Tomihiko Morimi's Uchōten Kazoku (Ecstatic Family) novel for broadcast in July.

The comedy drama of Uchōten Kazoku is set in Kyoto, where tanuki (shape-shifting racoon-dogs), tengu (long-nosed goblins of Japanese folklore), and humans intermingle. The story follows the Shimogamo family of tanuki who live in the Tadasu no Mori forest of Shimogamo Shrine.

Gainax & Subaru's Hōkago no Pleiades Anime Gets Film

Anime studio Gainax announced at Tokyo International Anime Fair on Thursday that it is producing a theatrical film version of Hōkago no Pleiades, its anime collaboration with the car maker Subaru, as its next stage in 2013.

The story centers around an afterschool club of magical girls who help recover fragments so that an alien from Pleiades can return home. The Pleiades is the English name for the star cluster that the Japanese call "Subaru" — the origin of the car maker's name and six-star logo.

Gainax Reveals Proposed Akubi o Suru ni wa Wake ga Aru Anime
Gainax revealed more about a tentative anime project titled Akubi o Suru ni wa Wake ga Aru (There Is a Reason That We Yawn) at its booth at Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF). Gainax intends to air the anime for two cours or half a year, although Gainax producer Tomoko Saito (Medaka Box) informed ANN that the project has not been green-lit yet, and is still collecting funds. The project has been in the works for six years.

The pamphlet for the project describes the setting as Japan in 2093. A rural town that used to be the most prestigious town in the world has long since sunk 30 meters under the ocean's surface. The story is a tale of a girl who takes part in free diving (diving without the aid of equipment to breathe), and the emotional growth she experiences.
