As I've said somewhat jokingly in my articles about him (because I do like his novels), he is the favorite novelist of people who don't read novels. :P

He is still a good writer though.

That Snow White story he wrote in Smoke & Mirrors is the shit!

I've still never read Sandman, I need to get around to it.

TODD MCFARLANE Reacts to the Marvel/ANGELA Situation
Following last week's news that former Spawn character Angela is now a full-fledged part of the Marvel Universe, Newsarama reached Todd McFarlane for comment on the situation.

"Neil Gaiman and I had a resolution in our legal dispute, and as part of that he ended up with the rights of Angela," the Spawn creator told Newsarama. "Whatever Neil chooses to do with something that he owns is at his complete and utter discretion."

I read the first two TPBs, and found it to be a chore. I don't get the love.

Sounds similar to the things Alan Moore says about movie adaptations of his works. Full on passive aggressiveness.

Those two are good but it gets way better after. My faves are Season of Mists and a bunch of the stories in Fables & Reflections (especially Ramadan). Ramadan might be one of my favorite comic stories ever. The nice thing about the books is that you can read them independently and not miss much.

Doesn't Moore always say something to the effect of 'I don't care but I hope they go fuck themselves?'

What he said. Ramadan is a fantastic issue, also one of my favorites.

I actually prefer the first few trades of Sandman, when Gaiman still owed a pretty heavy deb to Moore's Swamp Thing run. Serial killer convention, the diner from Hell...good shit. I enjoyed the whole run but the Kindly Ones dragged for me and the book occasionally went too far into faerie Tori Amos land later on.

I did not enjoy World's End.

The first book is awesome too though. The issue where he goes to Hell and the 24 hours in the diner were both ridiculously awesome.
