I've been reading volumes 1-6 of Neon Genesis Evangelion. And I've enjoyed them so much. So much. I plan to review each volumen individually, so that's 6 reviews. I hope to find the time...

Sayaka Mogi's Horror Manga Pupa Has Anime in the Works

The "Earth Star Anime Matsuri" event at Anime Contents Expo announced on Sunday that an anime adaptation of Sayaka Mogi's Pupa manga is in the works.

The "life-and-death sibling" story follows Utsutsu and Yume Hasegawa, a boy and his little sister who find themselves all alone. One day, Yume sees a mysterious red butterfly and her body undergoes a strange metamorphosis — into a creature that eats humans. Utsutsu struggles to find a way to restore his sister.

I don't know, there are some differences. The thing I loved the most is that the manga has more story, so -for instance- you see how the friendship between Shinji and Toji Suzuhara evolves after a couple of hundreds of pages. And then, when Toji dies at the end of volume 6 you feel like you need to cry. I didn't get that feeling from the anime because the character had only been around for a few episodes.

What do you feel is the advantage of the anime?
