I'm curious if they explain why Rick and friends decided to move everyone to the prison instead of staying at Woodbury.

Rick's team assaulted Woodbury twice with great success, while the Governor's superior force got their asses kicked when they assaulted the prison. So the prison is a better fortified position.

That was something that was bothering me too. I assume the logic will be that the Governor knows Woodbury and it's more wide open and thus harder to defend than the prison. Perhaps now that they have so many people, they can finally clear out the entire prison, patch up the holes in the perimeter and maybe look into getting the generators back up and running.

Well hopefully they thought of emptying it of anything useful.

Ok.

So the only plausible explanation for Andrea not going back for the truck was that Andrea was stupid and that, though the writers knew the truck was there, Andrea could think only of running into the woods and getting away.

However, the very fact that Andrea's death was meant to be the big moment of the finale shows that the writers are completely oblivious to how reviled Andrea was and how stupid she acts as a character. In fact, based on their expectations, it would be reasonable to assume that they view Andrea as a likable, capable, character. We see her, at times, easily dispatch waves of zombies singlehandedly. She's shown to be more competent than most of the citizens of Woodbury and looked up to by many of them as a leader. Even Rick, who is a coldhearted bastard, is tender toward her in her final moments. She borders on Mary Sue territory, at least in the eyes of the writers.

But to the fans, she's reviled. It's not because the writers don't WANT her to be liked. They are just terrible writers. Fuck, Merle's death was more moving than hers, and he was a psychotic racist drug addict murderer.

So, IMO, this is conclusive evidence that the truck SNAFU was the result of bad writing, not legitimate storytelling.

As far as those "record breaking ratings", yeah we all tuned in because we were expecting something to happen. Can't wait to see how this shakes out for the Season 4 premiere :P

You have to appreciate the humor in that Andrea has spent 3 years with her ankles behind her ears and now the one time that limberness would be really useful it fails her

I'm just going to hold onto the theory that this episode was AMC's early April Fools joke as they attempted to homage bad horror movies from the 70s.

Sometimes the sexism on this forum is quite worrying.

Three years with her ankle behind her ears. You mean two sexual partners?

Sexism ? More like a comment on the convenient inconsistent writing.
Andrea isn't usually a missionary-position type of gal. Like when she rode Shane (?) in the front seat of a car a while back. Can't do that shit without being limber.

I'm sorry but you're sexist and probably racist as well. I'm sorry to have to break it to you.

To be fair, this show has gotten destroyed by you guys for three seasons now, and the ratings have kept growing despite that.

I do agree that I've seen much more negative reaction from non-internet people to this finale as well, though.
