Damn. Stuff like that has happened to me before. You get your hopes up and then nothing. I hate that.

Same here. That really pissed me off two years ago, I almost got a job as a store manager for Moviestop. :(

Yeah I contemplated doing that, but since I only recently made my account there, I really didn't have enough credits... Oh well, I'm sure in time someone else will put up another copy of the movie for auction, so no harm done. :)

Similar things have happened to me the past couple of weeks. I had two interviews. One where the guy was begging someone to take the job. I asked him about it, had a interview on the spot, and now he ignores me when I tried to ask him about it. And then I had a computer test, followed by an interview the other day. It went well. I made the managers laugh, we chatted, things seemed perfect. I called two days later for them to tell me that they decided to go in a different direction. -___-

I was sent a letter telling me how they enjoyed meeting with me and that my credentials were impressive, but they selected another candidate who more closely meets their needs. :-(

What you talkin' about Willis? You don't mean me do you? I just sold two more digital copies, so I might make one or two more purchases before I'm done.

Yeah, but how many of those places did you know one of the bosses who pretty much told you that you had the job?

The codes action has seemed to die down quite a bit. How about we start the engines: The Lorax iTunes (probably Amazon or Windows Media as well) digital copy to the first person who replies with a good answer to the following question:

If you could give one experience to your kid(s) that you never had, what would it be?

Go.

On a side note, I was really happy to find out today that someone that I recommended to apply for a job, because of how much I knew they would like and excel at it, followed through and got the job. He's going to work for our company and even though I will rarely see him since he has to move, our annual meeing is next month, so we'll get to hang out then.

I know how rough job searching can be. I was unemployed from a career job for a year, working for the US Census bureau for a few months out of that time, and finally had to move to get a job. The worst was when I had 5 interviews over the course of a month and they ended up hiring someone else. They thought I had great ideas and would do a good job, but I ultimately couldn't convince them that not having an MBA didn't matter, as I didn't believe that finance was their biggest problem, so they hired an MBA. They closed up shop two years later, so perhaps it was for the best, but frustrating nonetheless.
