Wrestlemania Burns: Dry Ice Was the Culprit, Says Triple H

Anyone who watched Wrestlemania 29 this past weekend may have wondered what exactly was stuck to Triple H’s torso during his appearance at the event. It turns out that the stuff was dry ice, which burned the wrestler during his ‘No Holds Barred’ match against Brock Lesnar.

According to a TMZ report, Triple H was hit with dry ice while making his entrance into the MetLife Stadium arena. The special effects that accompanied the wrestler’s bombastic entrance blasted the wrestler with the super-cold carbon dioxide, giving him second-degree burns.

Being a professional wrestler, however, Triple H worked through the pain. He endured a 24-minute match against Lesnar to, as the storyline held, save himself from forced retirement.

Dry Ice almost took out Triple H at Wrestlemania before he even got in the ring with Brock Lesnar? I'm calling it right here and now, John Cena vs. Dry Ice at Wrestlemania XXX, probably for the WWE Championship. Especially if Dry Ice win the Royal Rumble as predicted.

So apparently that look on his face is the exact moment he popped. And he still gave 10 extra minutes.

Props to him for giving his all in a match for once, but it looks like we might never see him complete again if it risks his movie career as well.

Saw Main Event last night. The Shield was on!

Really liked Shield vs Tensai/Brodus/Kofi. They beat them up after the match.

Then Big E cut an amusing promo and killed Ryder.

Then Swagger and Zeb came out. I usually tune out when they cut a promo but I saw this one. Main thing that stood out was Zeb saying Yoshi Tatsu ate rice and fish heads. The Swagger squashed him.

Say what you want about Swagger (I like him), but Zeb is awesome.

After looking over the WWE's lists about the "Top 25 Masters of the Mic" and "25 Greatest Mic Moments," aside from being a little confused by some of their choices and placements on the list, it got me thinking. I'm happy that he is doing so well but dammit, I miss Joey Styles on commentary. He was/is a whole hell of a lot better than anybody else they've got doing it.

Former WWE employee Andrew Green is suing Big Show and WWE over an alleged backstage incident at the 2013 Royal Rumble pay-per-view according to Courthouse News Service.

In the report, Green claims another WWE producer told him to get an interview with Show after his Rumble match to be posted on the company’s website. Green says Show refused to do it until he said it was at the request of Eric Pankowski. Big Show then began using “profanely indecent language,” saying if he wanted an interview he would give him one. The complaint continued:

“Big Show toward Green enraged, shouting obscenities, and waving his fist in Green’s face. Big Show then grabbed Green by the collar and throat, striking Green in the face and backing him up against a trunk while declaring ‘You son of a bitch … Are you having fun right now … Don’t even come up to me again … I don’t give a shit who you are’.”

Green claims he was unable to continue working for WWE after following the incident because he was uncomfortable working around Big Show and other wrestlers. He alleges in the complaint that WWE had previously “suspended or terminated Big Show’s employment because of his behavior, including his engagement in violent and/or unlawful and/or improper activities outside of the wrestling venue.”
