Okay so Avengers issue 9 has come and gone.

[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
Ha @ Starbrand and Nightmask being stuck in Sol's Hammer. Why is Ex Nihilo being such a prick? The earth brain was kind of weird. I don't know but part of me feels like Ex Nihilo's creating Adam is going to be part of the reason why the system is broken.

Curious to know if Cap knows Stark stashed Starbrand and Nightmask at the Hammer.

I also think the stuff in New Avengers is going to bleed into this big-time.

So the FCBD issue has already leaked, and folks is gonna be mad.
[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
The story features a shadowy figure instructing an assassin to go find something. The shadowy figure then travels to a planet he's visited before and kills its champion before collecting a payment from them. This payment is a box o' heads and he gives it to his master Thanos. The assassin is then shown on Earth looking for something and hiding behind some Avengers, some X-Men, and SHIELD.

It's a well written comic, and obviously gorgeous to look at but it's got the Hickman thing where it provides only mysteries with no real clues as to what is going on. I enjoyed it, but it's a weird choice for an FCBD issue.

This song goes through my head when I read Hickman's Avengers.

Think it's because of the sample from The Thin Red Line used in the song.

Interesting how they brought back the NU characters. I hope Justice, Kickers, Mark Hazzard and DP7 also show up.

rather short too.

at least we won't have to wait forever for the event, and it has a chance of being decent unlike age of ultron.

Would not be shocked to see it turn out that certain MU characters turn out to be the 616 versions of certain NU characters (or vice versa).

I think they did that concept with that New Universal thing awhile back.

That's one of the things with Hickman you can never tell, he could revisit it in an issue or it could be 15 before we see them again.
