Kikaida was one of my favorites as a kid

Upcoming New Kikaider Revival Project
The Japanese cyborg hero, Kikaider, that was created by Shotaro Ishinomori is soon coming back with a new project. It’s still unknown whether it’s live action or anime. But according to our inside source, who was present at the Super Hero Taisen Z prescreening, a faint heartbeat is played as Kikaider is shown after the credits roll.

I'm not a Power Rangers fan but this sounds amusing

Power Rangers Game Morphs Players Into A Ranger With The 3DS Camera

The Power Rangers Megaforce game also uses the 3DS camera and morphs players that take a picture into a Power Ranger. It’s an idea that’s almost as wacky as the power scanner in Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission. Power Rangers Megaforce is slated for a fall 2013 release in North America.

UGGHHHH!!!

Tom Cruise to Star in Film of Yukikaze Sci-Fi Novels

The entertainment news source Deadline reported on Monday that actor Tom Cruise (Top Gun, Mission Impossible, The Last Samurai) is attached to the film adaptation of Chōhei Kambayashi's Yukikaze science-fiction novels. The novels already inspired a 2002-2005 video anime series from the studio Gonzo.

In Kambayashi's story, the elite Special Air Force wages a secret war against aliens that unsuccessfully invaded Earth through a dimensional portal over Antarctica 33 years ago. Second Lieutenant Rei Fukai flies lonely yet danger-fraught reconnaissance missions over the aliens' home planet with his wingmate, the sentient Sylphid fighter.

Warner Bros. acquired the rights to adapt the story, and it will also finance and distribute the project. 3 Arts' Erwin Stoff and Tom Lassally (All You Need Is Kill) are producing the film.

Shokotan is wacky :)

Machine Girl's Iguchi Casts Shokotan in Her 1st Lead Film Role
Shoko Nakagawa, the idol and actress known to her fans as Shokotan, has landed her first starring role in a film with Nuigurumaa Z. In the tokusatsu (special-effects) comedy, Nakagawa plays Yumeko Aikawa a.k.a. "Dame-ko" (no-good-girl), a girl in lolita fashion who transforms into Nuigurumaa when she combines with a pink teddy bear (nuigurumi no kuma). She fights with the villian Takeshi, who plans to take over the world using zombies.

oo my favorite of the modern Kamen Riders and misac's (maybe) favorite comedy villainess...

Live-Action Tokyo Yamimushi Film's 1st Trailer Posted

The official website for the live-action film adaptation of Yuuki Honda's Tokyo Yamimushi seinen manga began streaming the first trailer on Wednesday. Sakichi Sato (Tokyo Zombie) is directing the film slated to open in Japan this summer.

The film stars Ren Kiriyama (Kamen Rider W, Switch Girl!!) as Ryō Katō, a 23-year-old man who lives alone with no job, no hopes, and no savings. Ryō has wracked up 2.85 million yen (about US$30,600) in debt, and one day he is kidnapped by debt collectors. The debt collector Asamura (Kosuke Toyohara of Densha Otoko, Nodame Cantabile) then tells Ryō that his life is "similar to a bug's" and offers him a shady-sounding "job" that will introduce him to money. Honoka (Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger) is also starring as Sakura Aoi. Ichi the Killer writer Sakichi Sato is writing the screenplay adaptation and directing the film.

Have you watched Ultraman? I'm not really a fan (I don't hate it, but it never hooked me that much), but appreciate it. The recent Zero movies (aside from Saga) have been great.

A little. I'd like to see those movies though.

Just saw the first of Akibaranger 2. It was pretty much another BS clipshow. :x :x :x There seemed to be some retconning too. I think it has to due with this season's ongoing storyline though. Which was pretty damn cool.
