Instead of show accurate like the deluxe figures Hasbro elected to make their Voyager have translucent gimmick:

Megatron is an alright figure, but with a very shitty paint app (he's in tan not silver like above) and the accessories don't work the way they do in his picture (the sword never stays straight, the flashlight gimmick on his blaster hampers his arm which lowers it because it's so freaking bulky, and the knuckle gauntlet really is the best accessory Megs has). Takara corrected it with the correct paint apps and better accessories.. namely a huge freaking sword.

Prime? Same thing.

Yeah... Plus for Optimus, Hasbro released a better show version for the figure in the First Edition:

But due their own bumbling on forcing the before mentioned horrific Voyagers US Transformer fans got cut off from getting those figures until this past Christmas. Yeah they're still priced double (they were originally priced over four times that much, save Starscream).

Alien ReAction Figures
In 1979, prototypes for 3 ¾” action figures for the ALIEN film were developed but never manufactured. Through our network of industry and collector contacts, Super7 has unearthed reference material and original 34-year-old prototypes and will now make these “lost toys” a reality.

I recently ordered DC Collectibles New 52 Hal Jordan Green Lantern and Arkham City Series 4 Batman. I was hoping they would be around the same mold size so I can stand them together and luckily they were. They aren't Marvel Legends or DC Universe Classics size, same height but thinner and the heads are smaller. These are the only figures I've ever gotten that are close to DC Direct.

Have you guys checked any of these out yet?

I have only three DC Direct figures and they're both old ones on that size. Joker from the Batman & Son line, Cassandra Cain in the First Appearances line, and Cyborg Superman. The later is actually taller and leaner than the DCUC version, but the detailing is a little off compared to the Mattel version. Though the DC Direct has a better cape than the Mattel.

I nabbed a DC Collectible two pack of Larfleeze/Guy Gardner. That review should be out next week.
