I have to disagree. I just watched it last night and I thought it was pretty awesome. Apparently not everyone agrees though...got pretty lousy reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The cast is phenomenal though and I thought all of them did great. Definitely worth checking out. I always watch movies with the lowest expectations possible though...that way I'm rarely disappointed, ha ha.

By the way, HI! I'm new here!

Welcome to the thread! So far I only watched the first 10 minutes of Gangster Squad & I like what I see so far. I'll hopefully finish it tonight or tomorrow night.

Thanks!

Tell us what you think after you finish. I like Ryan Gosling more and more every movie I see him in...this is no exception. He's a lot more of a badass than he seemed back when he did that God forsaken piece of garbage, "The Notebook".

I've still never seen The Notebook but I thought he was good in Crazy Stupid Love & Drive.

Dude, it's so terrible. I can't even begin to describe it. It's the feel bad movie of the century. When it's over, you just want to kill yourself.

Ya, I don't usually go for (Chick Flicks) unless I'm forced into watching them which is why I've gone this long without watching it (no offense to any female members of the thread,......if there are any)

Damn, those got snagged quick! These would have been perfect...my wife is obsessed with Twilight and she's going on a trip to Chicago this weekend. Guess I should have skipped that doctor's appointment I just got back from, ha ha.

Yep, that's what happens when the codes are just posted into the thread. Usually (and this is the way i recommend doing it) is you say ok i have this movie up for grabs and the first person to reply saying they want it will get pm'ed the code, that way lurkers don't come through and steal them without even saying that they took it, which is probably what happened. but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt with those twilight codes because you're new you might not be able to use PM yet.

Yeah, that makes sense. I have 10 posts now so I think I can do everything now. That is a much better system. Better members of this site get them then people just looking for free stuff. Here I am knocking people looking for freebies when this thread is exactly what made me stumble upon the site, ha ha. I'm really glad I did. I've always wanted to become part of a comic community.

On a side note, do you guys have an IRC channel?
