I'm happy it happened to Zechs. Puts him in his place. He was getting preetttttyyy big for his boots. How do you like your Young Justice now.

Its dirty as hell, and pretty despicable. It makes me think of a hypothetical where a kid would go over to a friend's house and the kid would get a spanking from, or a lecture from another parent. Its completely inappropriate to put a child in that situation, as its inappropriate to put Zechs in a situation where he would have to answer to the actions of this site as a whole. Zechs approached this situation as a fan looking to talk to some of his favorite writers, but got insulted and humiliated instead. The worst thing about this is that we aren't talking about sarcastic Jude or Ru here, this is Zechs who is as harmless and well-meaning as journalists can get.

All of this comes across as DC seeing an easy target (knowing Zechs wasn't about to fight them about this) and taking advantage of it. Again, I'm just glad I wasn't there at the moment, or else we might be talking about something else.

Couldn't agree more. They took the humiliate the person in front of them. There is no excuse to treat someone like they did Zechs.

They don't deserve the OH's respect or anyone else's.

Indeed. But for me, the truth is much of DC is unreadable. But Vertigo still has a few sparks of life. Snyder is still good. And Jonah Hex will always have a place in my heart.

As long as we still get to make fun of Didio, the blacklist thing shouldn't be too bad.

Man, this is crazy.

You think back to the mythology that Stan Lee created in the 60s that Marvel were fun and cool and DC were stuffy dicks, and you think, nah, that's not true anymore, both companies are massive corporate jugger-dicks now.

But it's true!

You always could, they don't care about the forums. But DC doesn't want US doing it, because the only type of coverage a website should give a product is glowingly fawning, no matter what.

I'm kind of curious if they realize that Scott Lobdell came on my podcast that second time and voluntarily took fan questions.

Only to nicely ask me to read the worst ones. it's sad that they don't do the tiniest research into the people or programs they're saying no to.

I think this story really shows the poor state of comics journalism, that if you want to get anywhere, you have to toady up to companies and sell out.

I may complain about Rich Johnston, but at least he also has some balls.

This is pretty terrible of DC, blacklisting a satire site for being satirical. I would love to see some comment on this from The Beat or Comics Alliance.

That's to say any of the other middleweight sites who have been critical of DC themselves. Obviously it's not going to be Newsarama picking up the ball but there should be wide fallout from this.

Wow, just when I thought DC couldn't get any more stupid, or be bigger dicks, they prove me wrong again.

BTW, what did you guys do to piss of Jane?

When he put out that short film last year, SOMEONE posted it on the front page, excitedly and happily mentioning that THAT'S how the Punisher should be. Which got US an email titled "Hey, asshole!" From Jane himself, asking why we would spoil the films ending.
