Given so much of the humor there, it could happen. But not in the context that Garo had.

I'd never live there. The summers would kill me. Also, I'd be afraid of Herald coming for a "visit" and having to explain to the authorities that I was and am not responsible for him and don't want to be.

Not sure what you mean by the same line.

The end part did use action figures though.

Sanko Takada's Taberu Dake Manga Gets Live-Action Show

The June issue of Shogakukan's Monthly Spirits magazine revealed on Saturday that Sanko Takada's seinen manga series Taberu Dake (Just Eating) will be getting a live-action drama adaptation. Details on the adaptation will be published in July issue of Monthly Spirits magazine, which will ship on May 27.

Ryuhei Kitamura Plans "Versus" Film Sequel for 2014

If you were into Japanese movies in the early '00s, you likely couldn't escape the hype of Ryuhei Kitamura's low-budget, gory action flick Versus. With Tak Sakaguchi (Azumi, Battlefield Baseball, Yakuza Weapon) in the lead, it was all everyone talked about for a while, and now Kitamura recently announced plans to film a sequel next year.

Kyoryuger and Wizard: Magic Music Movie

As usual, a double-billed Super Sentai and Kamen Rider movie will be premiering during the summer. This year, the movie project will be called “Magic Music Movie.”

According to the pamphlet, that was given with the premiere of Super Hero Taisen Z, the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger movie will be a musical. Making this history’s first full Super Sentai musical. The musical is written by Riku Sanjo and will be directed by Koichi Sakamoto.

While Kamen Rider Wizard’s movie will be set in “the Land of Magic” and feature the Golden Magician, written and directed by Junko Komura and Shojiro Nakazawa.


The movies will premiere August 3, all over Japan. Two castanet rings of Wizard and KyoryuRed’s faces will be given as advance booking presents.

University Lists 'Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai' Film by Toei

The official Facebook account of Ryukoku University in Kyoto posted an April 24 casting call for extras on a 2014 film tentatively titled "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai" from the distributor Toei and the production company Times In (live-action Akihabara @ DEEP film). The casting call does not specify if this film is related to Yomi Hirasaka's light novel series of the same name, often nicknamed as Haganai.
