Netflix and Nickelodeon to Part?

Animated programs such as Avatar: The Last Airbender and Spongebob Squarepants might be leaving the popular streaming service next month.

Source: Netflix and 'SpongeBob' to split?

Starting today, a TON of movie's from the Warner Bros., MGM, and Universal libraries go away on Netflix and instead will be popping up on Warner Brothers Instant. Just when you think the news can't get any worse, it's possible next month the popular stream service might lose Nickelodeon too.

The LA Times are reporting that negiotations between the two companies (Netflix and Viacom) remain ongoing. As for the main roadblock to why this is taking so long? Rumors swirl that Viacom wants out since they feel airing content on the stream service lowers their ratings.

Still, the discuession between the two sides is ongoing and if there's an mutual agreement or it falls through, stay tuned to the site for further coverage on this developing story.

Still an entire month to get something done. Still it's only Spongebob and ATLA. Not really a big thing for me since I have all the later on DVD. Now if it's S1 TMNT or anything TMNT. :smt013

Yeah I should probably try to get through the rest of the Avatar series while it's still on there In case it does get pulled.

What about Rugrats? When I feel depressed, I watch an episode or two and feel better.

Of course it lowers ratings . . . who wants to be told when to watch what they want to watch?

That's sad for Netflix streaming.

ALL Nick shows will be gone from Netflix if the contract isn't renewed by the end of the month.

This is a bad trend for NetFlix. They're starting to lose quite a few sources, now. It'll be interesting to see how their original stuff pays off.

House of Cards was astounding. They may have set the bar too high with that series.

I've started Hemlock Grove and it's surprisingly good so far. It's cheesy, but seems to be aware that it's cheesy and just goes with it. I am hoping the Summer Glau-wannabe gets eaten soon (and not in the bathroom stall like that one gal). Jean Grey looks damn fine.

As I was leaving my office at DISH earlier today, I heard that Netflix is losing thousands of titles this month, which I can't believe they would even allow. This gives me more than enough reason to hold onto my Blockbuster @Home subscription that I have through DISH. They're always adding titles to their huge selection of 100,000 titles, so my family and I always have access to our favorites.

Business for DISH is so good it's not like they'd have to come to pop culture messageboards to schill their product.

Amirite?

Hi there, and welcome to the Outhouse! I'll just expect my check for your advertising on the site, right? We could set you up a nice sidebar ad, maybe one of those annoying popups... Whatever your budget calls for, really! :)
