There's an okay 4-5 page bit from the Warren Ellis/Mike McKone Avengers story that isn't out yet, I don't think. It's a typical Steve Rogers bit--spoilers, he not only doesn't know what myspace is, he can't run a coffee-maker. :smt011

The Thanos reprint story is familiar, it reminded me how much I miss brightly-colored comics. Stripping away all the bells and whistles of digital coloring, there may be less nuance but dammit comic books should be colorful dammit! Not all these fucking beige and mauve tones no sane colorist would have ever mixed with liquid inks. It's a travesty.

The main story was typical--the alien creature looked made for a shitty Marvel/Avengers movie so I won't be surprised to see it in one of the next couple. He does fly a pretty sweet squid-ship though.

I hope you're joking about the movie?
At least there was some original content in there, unlike DC"s Superman offering.

True about DC's book, but no of course I'm not joking. It was a mediocre film.
