Got Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Super Mario 3D Land. Kind of enjoying Dark Moon, but one player totally fucked up, when everyone else needed to be revived in multiplayer. :smt013

"Help!"
"Help!"

(Other player looks all over the place except for the room everyone fainted at)

Confirming rumors, Activision has revealed the next game in its billion-dollar shooter franchise, titled Call of Duty: Ghosts. The military-based FPS will arrive on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 5, and on "next-generation platforms" on an unspecified date. No Wii U version was announced.

Ouch. So many people were clamoring for this game...

Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was in the works for Wii

While we won't get to see Star Wars: Battlefront 3 as it was intended (or possibly ever, for that matter), a developer has confirmed that a version for the Wii was in the works. This information comes from the dev himself, who's doing an AMA on Reddit.

It's a small thing, but the controls on the Wii were fantastic. Blasting someone with your Wiimote was up there in the list of cool. ...It obviously wasn't HD and the graphics weren't there compared to the rest but it was the gameplay on the Wii that really made it.

Let's see...

Finished Borderlands 2 (and two of the DLC's), the three Mass Effect games, Halo 4: Spartan Ops, Bioshock Infinite, Phantasy Star, and Batman: Arkham City. It's been a pretty productive video game year.

I think I'm running out of games...

Report: Internal Microsoft memo outlines 'always-on' connectivity for next Xbox

"There are a number of scenarios that our users expect to work without an Internet connection, and those should 'just work' regardless of their current connection status. Those include, but are not limited to: playing a Blu-ray disc, watching live TV, and yes playing a single player game."

The memo also adds that Durango – the code name for Microsoft's next-gen console – is "designed to deliver the future of entertainment while engineered to be tolerant of today's Internet."

Though the supposed memo does much to assuage fears the next Xbox system will be useless when in an offline environment, it still does not detail the depths of the console's offline functionality. Rumors of the console's always-on connectivity have persisted, leading one Microsoft employee to express his personal opinion on the matter before leaving the company after a public statement from Microsoft, which distanced itself from the comments.

President of Square Enix of America leaves company

Mike Fischer, former president and CEO of Square Enix of America, quit the company this month, Polygon has learned.

Fischer, who took over leadership of Square Enix of America in July 2010, is now the vice president of digital Music and Video for Amazon in Japan.

He declined to discuss the details of his departure or the current state of the embattled company with Polygon, noting only that he left on good terms.

Prior to his role at Square, Fischer worked at Namco, Sega and Microsoft.

Speaking with Polygon at E3 last year, Fischer said that his plans for Square Enix's North American efforts was to shift away from big title development to smaller, more experimental titles. Those efforts did not include Eidos Montreal, which reports to Square Enix Europe.

Mirror’s Edge 2 Listing Appears on Amazon Germany

A listing for Mirror’s Edge 2 has appeared on Amazon Germany. Listed for Xbox 360 (but with mocked-up box art that appears to indicate an Xbox One release), the game has a placeholder price of €99.99 (equivalent to roughly $130) and does not indicate any kind of release date.
