First Photo of Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Bryan Singer has been tweeting set pics from X-Men: Days of Future Class, and Kitty Pryde is the latest character to hit his feed!

Source: Twitter

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer tweeted a picture of actress Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde in the upcoming movie this weekend. Page appeared as Pryde in 2006's X-Men 3: The Last Stand as well, but, since she didn't really become famous until Juno was released the following year, her career was able to avoid the damage of being in such a stinker of a movie.

This news reminds us of possibly our favorite moment from this 2010 interview we did with Kitty Pryde's co-creator, Chris Claremont, in which Outhouse reporter GHERU awkwardly asked Claremont about comic book fans crushing on her:

Chris Claremont: Well, the cover's been circulating around for X-Men Forever 2 #1. She's turning Japanese. The part I like are the claws.

GHERU: And the red fingernail polish with the claw coming out...

Chris Claremont: That's not polish. Looks more like... BLOOD! Sweet sixteen is an interesting situation for her.

GHERU: I think with that comment you made a lot of people on the internet feel really dirty. I know a lot of people think of Kitty as very attractive, and you've just dated her at sixteen. I find things like that amusing when you look at it in a different context of fanboy imagination.

Chris Claremont: It's the grown men that make me nervous.

Us too, Mr. Claremont. Us too.

In case you're wondering whether this picture should make you feel dirty, Page is 26.

X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters on July 18, 2014.

So Kitty is a major character in the films, as she was in the original story?

Ooo, I kinda hope they do the Wolverine death scene.

Hmm, will Rachael be there and if so.... who the hell would her parents be?

They really should consider First Class as a reboot to the previous films.

Hopefully they won’t acknowledge the existence of the third movie. :P

Lol! I even know the difference and I still mixed them up. They're like identical twins!

he wasn't... neither was Blink but they are both in the movie. Bishop was in the 90s animated series version of Days of Future Past.

there's an entire generation of people who believe Bishop was part of the original story. I know i've gotten into fights with people who swear up and down that he was in the story
