Wow, DC really is not the house of ideas, if they're doing this kind of low dumb crap. :o I personally loved Captain America and Thor . . . is Robert Downey superior? Like you seriously have to ask . . . he gave Marvel films the much needed love and attention that they deserved . . . he helped them open big and he's the cornerstone of their universe. But DC has been at this longer, and they've had a large studio backing them up for way longer. They've done nothing but shoot down superhero project one after the other since I can remember . . . and what they greenlight sucks. I wasn't too fond of GL and while I loved Superman Returns I know it wasn't all that great. I'm eagerly anticipating Man of Steel but if you want to beat Marvel, trash talk isn't going to help, a good film is. And since the only thing DC knows how to do is make Batman they should shut up or put up. Avengers was awesome, why no mention of that movie? Yeah . . .

This. Hemsworth and Evans both have better screen presences than Christian Bale did as Batman, or than whoever the fuck this new guy is who's playing Superman, or the last guy that played Superman. Or Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern, for that matter. RDJ is just insane, no one can compete with that.

Charlie Sheen as Batman confirmed.

How could you possibly know what kind of performance Henry Cavill has offered for Superman? You see an early screening?

Well you said that Hemsworth and Evans had more presence than Cavill, not Downey.

And I'm not sure the movie won't suck just yet, but Cavill could pull out a portrayal as earnest and Hemsworth and Evans I'm sure.

:-D

Well, he could turn out to put in an incredible performance, but I think it's more likely he'll put in a decent/good performance at best, same as Hemsworth or Evans. I've seen the trailers and stuff, and that's the impression I get. We're not talking RDJ or Heath Ledger here.

I think RDJ is more an example of excellent casting than an inspired performance, Downey is still an excellent actor.

Hemsworth is terrible, Evans does OK.

That joke is kinda meta considering what happened in at the end of Superman: The Movie (1978).
