That goal probably costed the championship to Benfica.

Bookies are beginning to seriously slash odds on Manuel Pellegrini being appointed City manager. I hope Mancini stays...his record v Moyes is something like 7-1-2 in Moyes' favour.

Is everyone forgetting before he guided Malaga to the CL he spent 200m in one summer at Real and got sacked after failing to win anything?

To be fair, I don't think he was the one spearheading the signings of Ronaldo, Kaka etc, that was the Real President, trying to redo the Galacticos.

Plus, he got like 96 points in coming 2nd, it was more to Barca's brilliance than his failings.

The Guardian are saying that Mancini is gone, with more news on the way.

If you can, watch the highlights of the Watford/Leicester play-off game today.

Vydra scored an amazing goal for Watford and the end of the game... wow, Leicester get a penalty in the 94th minute, it's saved (twice), and then Watford go right up the other end and score within 10 seconds, insane.

That's a real shame, City are probably right to find new blood after being worse this year than last in every single way.

From a Fulham fan:

"The Taylor Report made recommendations designed to keep football supporters safe in football grounds. Our guests today should've realised more than most the importance of these safety measures and why laws about what you can and can't bring into football grounds should be adhered to. And yet they brought flares and fireworks into the ground.

If one of those flares had gone up in flames (and they did whilst being retrieved from the pitch) a major incident could have occurred."

City have officially sacked Mancini.

Yesterday Malaga and Pellegrini claimed there have been no approaches whatsoever from City. Time will tell.

Edit: wow 28mil compensation for breaking his recently renewed contract.

I feel kind of sorry for Mancini actually.

In actual match news, Crystal Palace beat Brighton to get to the play-off final! Zaha scored two, he's some player.

Who do we reckon will get promoted then? Watford or Palace? Watford are the better team, but their ownership and use of the loan system is kind of dodgy. I'd like to see Palace do it, and not just for Stephen Day!

It's just a shame that Zaha is off to Man U.

I don't feel at all sorry for Mancini, actually. I think all said he's a terrible manager of players and thinks far too highly of himself.

I don't think there should be any doubt about who I want to win. :-D

I was worried about them going into the Brighton game with Murray out injured. UP THE PALACE!!!!! :-D

About Watford, I agree, even if Palace wasn't been in that game I think I'd be cheering against Watford on principle, although I'd be holding my nose doing it in a Brighton/Watford face off.
