I have been anticipating this album like every other lover of good music for a quite a few years and it does not dissapooint. It's not the heaviest but, it is dark and moody and really really good. Tonally the album sounds like Keith Richards Exile on Main street era playing on Dark Side of the Moon. It's really an amazing album and if you don't like it...well you probably read Legion comics.

Torrents are a really bad way to download something that's not even in stores yet. Sure to be tracked by the authorities.

So this album is pretty awesome. I've been able to listen to it a few times while driving to work. Can't wait till I have a chance to listen to the whole thing in one sitting.

So, some of the 20somethings may recall, this is my favorite band. Like... I'm fanatical. I've seen them live a bunch, worn out multiple copies of my CDs (finally just got them all digitally), and about 90% of what I listen to is QOTSA related (Eagles of Death Metal, Desert Sessions, Eleven, Them Crooked Vultures, etc.)

I really don't think there's a better band out there today. All their albums are solid.

...Like Clockwork is no exception. It's taken me a few listens to get into it, but it's classic queens all the way. Guest stars galore (Oliveri, Reznor, Elton friggin John!)

The only thing I find lacking this time around is it doesn't have that super heavy song like Song for the Dead, Misfit Love, or I Think I Lost My Headache. My God is the Sun is almost there, but just misses the mark for me.

They've got a live performance posted at their website right now where they play all but one of the new songs, plus a lot of other stuff. I'm not extremely thrilled with this live incarnation of the band, but I'll still open up my wallet when they come by me.

It took me a week to stop listening to the album. Yeah it's missing a heavy track but well, the album is so sad. I can't figure out what relationship in Josh Hommes life went to shit since he's still married and the only real departure we know about in his life has been Joey(drummer) but the album makes me want to give Josh a hug and tell him it's going to be ok.

He had said during recording that some fucked up stuff happened, but never really elaborated. I didn't think that Joey left the band on bad terms, but I could be wrong. He did apparently drum on a few tracks, and so did Jon and Dave. Makes me wonder who did which tunes.

John is on Like Clockwork
Joey is on Kalopsia, Keep your eyes peeled and I sat by the Ocean
Dave is on the rest.

I don't know I mean Anytime a long time band member quits during the recording of an album I would never call it amicable.

In 2010, Homme said he "died" for a short time following unexpected complications during knee surgery due to asphyxiation. Following this he was confined to bed rest for 3 months. Homme has expressed that this experience greatly contributed to the making of ...Like Clockwork. [34]

Yeah I guess I just see queens lineup being so fluid that it doesn't always have to be bad.

Lack of Lanegan again makes me sad too.
