Not sure if I want to keep reading if this is the case. Though I'm sure that we've seen future, grown-up Ambrose talking about his dad in the present tense, so maybe there's a swerve on the way.

He's a shape changer. If he'd just get over his hatred of his father's heritage this would be an easy fix.

Exactly there seems to be a way for him to come back but, from the way future Ambrose is talking, and boy did that throw me for a loop since I had taken a few months off caught up and all of a sudden there is a new story teller surprised the hell out of me and had to make sure I didn't miss something. I feel like it's going to be a while before we see him again.

Why? I mean that's the point of a book like fables, these things can change so fast. I'm still surprised Charming and Blue are dead,

I actually have not. It's in my back log right now, I read the first issue and maybe the second but it didn't grab me enough to keep reading it. I have it on my pile but just haven't gotten to it. Should I?

Sorry Yoni, I missed your reply. As Hab said, Fairest has been pretty great. Better than the mothership imo.

Not surprising, Jack for a while was better than Fables and Cinderalla was also great, But does Ambrose take over the story telling in fairest like he did mid arc in here?

Not so far. We haven't had an arc about Snow yet, though. So far we've had Sleeping Beauty, Beast and Rapunzel stories.

But I'm not imagining things that Ambrose became the story teller of this arc, mid arc right?

I thought Ambrose took over after his father started his search for Therese and Dare.

Willingham might be using Ambrose as a technique to reinforce the idea that Bigby is dead.
