Remember when Iron Man was on the Top Marvel Villain list?

Forgive me if this isn't a full list. It's just the ones that I remember:

[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
Luke Cage - Survived a nuclear explosion in New York to make it to the Savage Land and die
She Hulk - Laser to the face
Black Panther - Tripped
Taskmaster - Head squished by Red Hulk

Captain America - Decapitated after going into the future
Red Hulk - Evaporated

Hank Pym - Wolverine'd in the past

I actually don't remember that. :-(

But good! He deserved it at the time!

Hell, a better question might be who isn't dead. I don't remember it word for word, but I think Ultron had made targeted strikes on at least New York and Los Angeles and had pretty much wiped out a huge majority of heroes, then was exterminating humanity, city by city, at his leisure.

I don't know if it was ever said if it was worldwide, like if England and Captain Britain, or Doctor Doom in Latveria, were wiped out as well.

But pre-altered timeline, it seems as though damn near ever X-Man except Wolverine and Storm were killed. Susan Richards was the only member of the FF left.

Luke Cage and She-Hulk, Black Panther, got smoked in-series. Thor and Ben Grimm were said to have been killed by Ultron, as told by Wolverine.

There were maybe...what, 12-15 heroes who made it to Nick Fury's Savage Land hideout before Wolverine and Susan Richards went into the past?

Thanks for that info -- I've only picked up a few of the tie-ins.

Marvel should just treat their continuity like an episode of a sitcom, let all the characters die in any story and just bring them back with no mention of it in the following story.

Who shouted you down?

It's pretty well understood that the new Billy Batson is the worst thing that's ever happened to DC.

I like my heroes flawed. If Hawkeye's a manwhore that still saves the day, that's okay by me.
Bendis's issues with heroes seems to be he relishes the gray area/middle ground.
Conflict can happen between characters without leading to either character venturing into villainous territory.

I know this and you know this, but I think Marvel's forgotten this.

I'm not saying heroes have to see eye to eye all the time but it'd be nice to have an event without heroes trying to kill each other.

It's like they tried the concept in Civil War & they liked it so much they decided to reuse it in varying degrees in World War Hulk, Fear Itself, Age of Ultron, AvX, etc.

Who was the villain in:

House of M? Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver
WWH? Hulk or the Illuminati
AvX? Scott Summers, the Phoenix Five & (for some reason) Magneto
FI? Hulk & Thing were possesed by evil hammers
AoU? Wolverine & the Invisible Woman kill Pym, Red Hulk kills Taskmaster for no reason
SI? Heroes are mistrusting each other, aliens look like heroes
CW? Cap's side or Iron Man's side, the Thor clone that killed Black Goliath

And I'm sure there's more.

They're inching closer and closer to anti-hero than flawed hero in the heroic spectrum. Heroic Age was supposed to remedy that.
