"Why are you pointing your screwdrivers like that? They're scientific instruments, not water pistols."
"Oh, the pointing again! They're screwdrivers! What are you going to do? Assemble a cabinet at them?"
"Are you capable of speaking without flapping your hands about?"
""Timey" what? "Timey wimey"?"

I think they later retconed that out in more recent episodes.

I think Jenny may have a response to you though.

Now that series 7 is over and I have had some time to think about it, I can safely say that I was really underwhelmed by the second half of this series. As I have mentioned before, I was intrigued by the mystery surrounding Clara but I never actually really liked the character herself. Now that we know exactly who she is and the mystery is solved, I still don't like the character and I feel that the answers the the mystery fell a little flat. At the end of the day, I would prefer that Vastra, Jenny, and Strax accompany The Doctor as his companions instead of Clara.

All things considered, the final reveal at the end of "The Name of the Doctor" was probably my favorite part of series 7 and I am excited about the possibilities that it leaves open.

So the preponderance of the color red and the roses throughout the season was just a(nother) thread connecting all the Claras with no other significance ?
