Doug Mahnke Joins JLA

The Green Lantern artist will be joining Geoff Johns on DC's other flagship title.

Source: Robot6

Doug Mahnke won't be separated from Geoff Johns for long.  In an afterwards to Green Lantern #20, the finale to Geoff Johns' mammoth run on the series, Johns announced that Mahnke, his longtime art partner on Green Lantern, would be replacing David Finch as the artist on Justice League of America. Mahnke was already solicited as the artist for Justice League of America #6 and #7, but it appears that the move will be a permanent one.

Mahnke is (in my humble opinion) DC's strongest artist, so I'm glad he's being put of one of DC's top-selling books.  It should also take care of those pesky delays that have plagued Justice League of America in recent months.

His first run with the league back in the day was pretty good those he always made Wonder Woman's hair look greasy. He's still not enough to entice me back to that title.

Finch has just never seemed suitable for DC. His art always screams Marvel to me.

Please go back and read the interview I did last year with Finch, he really should have just stayed on Dark Knight which really he had his heart in.

he's really good when the cast is small, but when you start throwing 12 characters at him its when it starts to get bad. He had the same issues with New Avengers

So whoever had 3 issues in the "How many issues until Finch leaves?" pool is the winner.
