Interesting, I had a couple of models from this show, but I never did watch it...

Variable Action Galvion (Circus 1)

Megahouse is bringing up one of the more obscure 80's mecha heroes and turning him into a part of their Variable Action line! The Galvion (aka the Circus 1 when in car mode) from 1984's Chō Kōsoku Galvion is one of those rarely seen mecha shows partially due to the fact it had never been released on home video. This is set to change with the show being released on Blu Ray and DVD this year. Naturally to coincide with this momentous occasion, Megahouse is producing a high-end figure of the titular mecha. Not much is know about it at this time. I imagine it will be at least full or partially transformable between its two modes and will come with the Galvion's gun and shield. It is said this is being made with the help of the design house, T-Rex, who released a limited run toy of the Galvion at trade shows. This toy is coming sometime in 2013.

It's a dark, violent show and I really do not see it going to a good place. Considering how formula manga/anime can be... this is just another tragedy tale.

Yeah, I watched a show that covered that manga and anime. Both look well-made, but very much not my type of series.

So I went and watched some old favs and some of Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko aka Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat. Silly show but it is a charming love story too. Some fanservice but not heavy with it.

I think I saw a little about that, too.

I've seen an episode, it was not very good. But the design was not bad.

Sci-Fi Naval Manga Arpeggio of Blue Steel Gets TV Anime
The seventh volume of Ark Performance's science-fiction naval manga Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio (Arpeggio of Blue Steel) is announcing on Thursday that a television anime adaptation has been green-lit. In the story, a "Fleet of Fog" loaded with super weapons suddenly appear all over the world. Without the ability to withstand this fleet, humanity was defeated and could no longer travel the seas. 17 years after the devastating naval war, Gunzō Chihaya and his friends somehow commandeer a "Fleet of Fog" submarine and rename it I-401. Together with Iona (I-401's "mental model" or physical incarnation in humanoid form), they take on the "Fleet of Fog."
