Yeah I guess I just see queens lineup being so fluid that it doesn't always have to be bad.

Lack of Lanegan again makes me sad too.

Lanegan is on the album too. I really like the current line up but I definitely miss Alain Johhanes.

Yes, Alain definitely added another level to them.

Where's Lanegan? It's not obvious, I'm talkin like a Lanegan-led song, like In the Fade or Hangin' Tree.
Frank, sometimes I really wish you didn't beat that cancer.

all the guests are really muted other than grohl and even he doesn't stand out like he did on Songs for the deaf compared to Rated R.

1. "Keep Your Eyes Peeled" (featuring Jake Shears) 5:04
2. "I Sat by the Ocean" 3:55
3. "The Vampyre of Time and Memory" 3:34
4. "If I Had a Tail" (featuring Alex Turner, Nick Oliveri and Mark Lanegan) 4:55
5. "My God Is the Sun" 3:55
6. "Kalopsia" (featuring Trent Reznor) 4:38
7. "Fairweather Friends" (featuring Elton John, Trent Reznor, Nick Oliveri, Mark Lanegan, Alain Johannes, and Brody Dalle) 3:43
8. "Smooth Sailing" 4:51
9. "I Appear Missing" 6:01

I didn't realize Homme had a second child in 2011 a son suddenly things are coming into focus on the long break since Them Crooked Vultures. Lets face it. You can pretty much cut two years out of the wait because of TCV. So far we have long term band member leaving, knee surgery, birth of a son. Still the album just screams of marriage problems.

So I know you made Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd comparisons here Yoni, but I'm feeling pure Houses of the Holy/Physical Graffiti era Zeppelin on this whole album. It's fantastic. I've listened to it about 100 times in the past two weeks. I don't want to listen to anything else.

Great record, you can really feel the Stones' influence on 'If I Had A Tail'

Yeah it's a perfect album. I've finally stopped only listening to it. But it's been thrown on a few times. Kalapsa and Vampire of Time and memory sound like an out takes from the wall.

I'm not real familiar with QotSA, but after checking this out, I'm digging it. Cool stuff.

Don't you like Linkin Park? That would be why. Too busy listening to boy band metal.

Loving this album right now. It's all I'm listening to when it comes to music.

Yeah, this record is the balls. Definitely hear the Floyd influence. I can see a bit of Stones and Zep as well. Good shit.

And don't mind Yoni... he's a fucking snob.

That said, Linkin Park is terrible. :D

Yoni is always a dick to me, it would be weird if he wasn't.

And I like a lot worse than Linkin Park (according to most) but it's all good, I like what I like. I also like A LOT of different stuff, insulting some random band that mixes in with the five hundred other groups I'll listen to isn't a big deal. Now maybe if he wants to say Queen sucks or something, that will shock me.

The QotSA album was great, I'll definitely check out more of their stuff.
