And I like a lot worse than Linkin Park (according to most) but it's all good, I like what I like. I also like A LOT of different stuff, insulting some random band that mixes in with the five hundred other groups I'll listen to isn't a big deal. Now maybe if he wants to say Queen sucks or something, that will shock me.

The QotSA album was great, I'll definitely check out more of their stuff.

Like Rush?

Check out Songs for the Deaf, it is their best album. Otherwise they're all really on the same level of being varying degrees of great. And I'm not always a dick, just most of the time.

Do I like Rush? eh, I like a couple of their songs, but not a band I put in on purpose.

Those are more like Queen, Prince, Skunk Anansie, Muse, but I'm sure there is plenty of pop crap I like that anyone into a specific genre would roll their eyes at.

I'll check out Songs for the Deaf then.

There are people that don't like Queen and Prince? I mean I'm not a casual listener of the two but respect the hell out them.

Songs for the Deaf is Dave Grohl drumming for the first time since Nirvana days. You should also check out them crooked vultures which is Grohl, Homme(QotSA) and John Paul Jones(Zep). It's also very good.

Era Vulgaris was a mediocre album. I never listen to it.

But I look forward to this one.

It's taken me 5 years but Era Vulgaris isn't bad especially if you start with Era Vulgaris which isn't on the disc.

I get shit for Prince occasionally depending on the person, though he seems to have gotten into a zone where he's at least respected for his guitar work and showmanship. But back in the day a bit I would hear crap. Queen, not so much, especially people into rock, they know whats up with Queen. But even them, before the Bohemian Rhapsody Waynes World thing, I seemed to run into more people that just didnt know them that well.

I have a Them Crooked Vultures album, the self titled one, not sure if they released more than that. Really like Caligulove and New Fang.

I've only been able to listen to about the first 3-4 songs so far but god I love this album.

Ever since "Lullabies to paralyze" Queens has been one of my favorite bands and never disappointed me. Just haven't had the time to really fully engross myself in the new album yet.

So How cool is QotSA? How about broadcasting a full concert on NPR's website a few weeks ago.

Then doing it again at Letterman

Plus there is this, (not the full song, just the live recording of pieces of it.)

Full song

1. Songs for the Deaf
2. ... Like Clockwork
3. Queens of the Stone Age
4. Rated R
5. Era Vulgaris
6. Lullabies to Paralyze

Songs is the best but Clockwork is breathing down it's neck and the early stuff was great but didn't quite have the creativity and intelligence. With Era and Lullabies, they're solid albums and if you combined them and got rid of some of the less-than-great songs, you'll probably have a Queens album that could compete with Clockwork and Songs.

That said, with Clockwork, Queens has established themselves as the best band currently making music.

I agree except I'd probably switch Era and Lullabies. Either way everyone of them is still better than my least favorite Pearl Jam album. Pearl Jam being my favorite band ever.

Forgot about Pearl Jam, another band that needs to come out with something soon, but they would be second place for me.

I would probably have my top five being Queens, PJ, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, and the Black Keys.
