I just started reading Goon a couple issues ago. I've always heard good things about the book but did not really took notice until I saw Powell's work over in the Superman books where he did a few issue of art.

I just remembered. You know what's your biggest mistake was?

Not posting on the Highschool Heroes thread when the economy was still good. I think practically all the regulars there received stuff from coach when he was trying to recommend something.

A bunch of trades he didnt want anymore to stuff he actually bought multiple copies of just to promote it. I think Eric Powell owe this guy a lot.

HSH had a coachmatt contest about every three months. ALL the regulars got something. Also, Eric got some Goon goodies too for making a record post at the 20+.

The newest issue happens to be the 10th Anniversary issue, and it is out this week. Great jumping on point for those of you that haven't been reading the series.

I can honestly say I've never been disappointed with an issue of Goon. The art has gotten better and better and Eric Powell does some great things with the writing. I'd like to see him get some mainstream work so maybe more and more people can be turned onto how awesome Goon is.
