Back when the heroes of Earth disappeared, a man put into motion his plan to give the world new heroes they could trust, but who are really masters of evil in disguise.

That man was NOT Baron Zemo/Citizen V but instead the Red Skull/Dell Rusk and his public team was not the Thunderbolts, but the Dark Avengers!

While his Dark Avengers carry out his will in the name of his most hated enemies, his Cabal serves as a brain trust, working behind the scenes and under the cover of darkness to aid the Skull's plans for world domination.

As heir to Apocalypse, Angel knew his celestial role in the world, but why stop there? From his many adventures in his former life as Angel with the X-men, he has encountered many new worlds and universes for that matter. He will bring the Apocalypse to them, all of them. But unlike his former predecessor, he will not focus on mutants just the weakest of that worlds inhabitants. Dark Angel is the living embodiment of Darwinism. Learning from his encounters with the Inhumans, and in A0A equivalent, he has set up his army in a hierarchy fashion, so welcome to the..

House Apocalypse...

The Inner Circle

Every general needs a second in command, and Dark Angel has found the perfect strategist in Steve Rogers

Ultra-Humanite, Mistress Entropy (Lady Styx), CapsLok (Captain America)

The Black Legion

Taking the name AoA Wolverine used for his foot troopers, Dark Angels takes it for his own moving away from the "Horseman" motif that previous counterparts have used. The Black Legion, who CapsLok leads into battle, fills the same role the of the old Riders of the Storm/Dark Riders, going into a planet and "testing the weak" to see if they are fit for survival. For the record? Most are not.

i feel like i don't put as much effort into the drafts as everyone.. everyone seems to make huge stories about why the characters they chose are together, whereas i just pick characters...

When Earth's Mightiest Heroes disassembled, it became crystal clear to a select group of individuals what needed to be done. Over the years, as the heroes continued to distract themselves with pointless wars among themselves, invasions, sieges, and time-travelling androids, these individuals met in secret. Together they determined that while the heroes spread themselves thinner and thinner they no longer had Earth's best interests at heart. If the heroes of Earth were no longer interested in saving the world from itself, then the villains of Earth would resolve to save it by any means necessary. Led by Victor Von Doom and Helmut Zemo, this all-new cabal will conquer the planet, subjugate it's heroes, and control it's destiny for all time.

Everybody just enjoys the drafts in their own way. Some people put extra thought into their stories, its obvious that you take the time to put a lot of extra thought into your teams. One of the best parts of these drafts is the fact that you really can't come in here and tell somebody else that they are doing it wrong...unless they are breaking the rules. :P

I admit that I myself haven't made time to come up with a good story for my cabal of villains but I will do so after I am done making my 7th pick rest assured.
