I could be mistaken but hasn't Rogue consistently been one of the most popular X-Men for at least the past 20 years?

Maybe, I've never really liked her, perhaps because of her interminably drawn-out relationship with Gambit, which fucked over both characters.

Which was only explored maybe like 3 times in the last decade.

Yeah, but back when Gambit and Rogue were actually important to the X-Men and not in side books, it was all they were about.

Sure, it was a big part of their characters but it was a story that people were interested in at the time. Also, Rogue has been an important part of the X-Men franchise since 1991. :smt102

Isn't Gambit banging some Spanish lady thief in his current solo now if memory serves?

I'm going to take it one step further. Since issue 1 Remender has been terrible with all the female characters. Rogue and Wanda haven't had a scene without the other so they've been getting catty and cattier with every interaction. Its really really bad. And Janet is no better. She seems to have a thing for guys who's powers might do something for her sexually as Hank shrank and Alex's seismic waves might be good for vibrations? All the women in this comic are coming off like a bunch of cunts. And if it weren't for how great his psylocke was I would question his ability to write female characters.

See how hard it is to keep track of how many women Gambit has screwed. I'd hate to think of how many STDs that guy has by now.

If Rogue was seriously only gonna be featured in Uncanny Avengers than the change in characteristic is fine, but when you have her featured in X-Men as she has been written for the better part of a decade, and guesting in Cable and X-Force seemingly getting along with the team she's on, the way she is being written in this book stands out...

I agree with most people's opinions in this thread where it concerns Rogue. She is seriously annoying in this series.

I am looking forward to the upcoming fight with The Four Horsemen of Death.
