Well you're not wrong... just sort of a mutated mix of SlamBurger and Emma. I'm honestly still not sure if I should take it seriously or not. |

Really? I haven't seen her but I thought about her the other day. We have two lesbians here in Denver who had sex changes to become men so they could have sex with gay men. For some reason I thought of her when I met one of them. |

It's like a second holocaust, but instead of genocide committed against millions of people, it's an old white broad losing money for saying the n-word. But basically, the same thing. |

It's not the same thing. It's pretty damn close though. |

How can anyone think whites are discriminated against more than blacks. It's just total nonsense. Almost everyday of a black person's life, there is some sort of discrimination or racism against them, be it from a wrong look by a cop or a store clerk to an actual verbal or physical altercation. I can pretty much walk down the street at any time or walk into any store and nobody will say a word. I see what my students go through and how they are made to feel. I also understand Keb's argument about blacks and gays. A gay person can blend in (they shouldn't have to change who they are, but that's a different argument). How do you change your skin color? This thread is one of the dumbest I've ever seen here and I am currently reading a 40 page one about the Superman movie which is highlighted by Herald and Spektre. That thread looks like classic literature compared to this. Keb: don't make the mistake and think you are having discourse. |

Ah, so racism by whites against other ethnic groups---is because whites are horrible. Racism by blacks or other ethnic groups against whites, understandable because whites are horrible. Got it. OR, alternatively, racism by whites against blacks or other ethnic groups---appalling. Racism by blacks or other ethnic groups against whites---appalling. I have, believe it or not, had people act in a racist manner toward me before. I know it's hard to believe, me being white and all, but yes, it's happened, (the racial slurs and threats directed toward me being a clue IMO, but yeah, I know that apparently that's probably just my own racism or superior attitude at fault there, according to the Justice Department and various District Attorneys around the country). And evidently some others as well. In my case, some Chinese people, (including a doctor, a truly vile person who also directed his bile toward my mother), and two blacks, a man and a woman. Now true, not nearly as much as some others here, but then I live in a suburb--- a fairly upscale area for the most part that's been rather free from that stuff overall. I might point out that all three were certainly acting superior to me, (and my mom), but that probably was just in response to....well, I really don't know what. Personally, it sounded to me like they were just racist and nasty. And that the doctor was a bully who liked to pick on sick and old white folks who couldn't fight back. But yeah, I know it must be in response to some white guys acting all superior to them or their ancestors at some point. Strangely though, I've never felt the need to act in a racist manner toward Chinese people or blacks in general since those times. Upset though I was. My own opinion is that people don't need excuses of the past actions of other people to behave in a racist manner. And that people who do tend to do so out of their own feelings of superiority toward their 'victims', rather than in response to past actions by members of their 'victims' group. I think it is a cultural thing ingrained in people who indulge in that sort of thing by their own subculture. And fuelled by personal character. Getting back to Dean however, I did try a recipe or two of hers once, but never again. It wasn't that good and it just about killed me from looking at it. Actually eating it probably would have given me an instant heart attack. And this from a guy who is actually looking forward to trying a Twinkie again... |
