Here's a clean, inked version of Spider-Man for a marker render test ...

Image

... and here's the test render. There's a bit of muddiness to the scan that I couldn't fix for some reason. The area on his chest and his eyepieces aren't that dark and smear-y on the original piece.

Image

I'm actually very displeased with this scan, because the actual piece looks much smoother and has better color balance. I'll try to do another scan later. :/

EDIT: I've uploaded the new scan.

I don't do color often because it takes forever ... but sometimes, it's worth it. :)

The Creature stalks! Here's a drawing of The Creature from the Black Lagoon (or, as some of you may know him, The Gill-Man) from the 1954 film of the same name. He's stalking Kay Lawrence underwater, somewhat inspired by a great scene from the film.

I really ended up laboring on the inks for this, but I love the result. I could've done a better job on Kay's face, but damn does the Creature itself look good. :D

You can find the scene below ...

I felt like coloring an earlier piece yesterday, so here's the result.

CountD: Greg, thank you for your insights.
Benderbrau: Greg: Unwrapping the riddles of the black man since 2006

Starlord: I swear if you were gay and I wasn't married we'd make the perfect fuck buddies.

Greg: I'd do many things. Coke is not one of them.
Benderbrau: Greg hates all things white.

Benderbrau: Emma, you could learn a thing or two from Greg. Greg does threesomes. That's bi done right.

Would you be interested in coloring a six page story for me in a couple of months?

I'll have to pass. I'm too slow a colorist to turn around pages, and I'll be working on a friend's pitch for a while.
