Is it even fair to have a week with a Daredevil and a Hawkeye cover? In the interest of disclosure, I nominated Daredevil, but I love the Hawkeye cover.

I know. It's a good cover and deserved to be nominated, but Hawkeye is better IMO.

This thread has lost all credibility if an animal leaving bloody paw prints wins. I could draw that. It appears that some people vote for the comic as opposed to the best artwork.

I voted for the image I found most striking. Which was Hawkeye. I'm sorry if that makes you sad.

I haven't read any of these books.

It ain't always about craft.
I'll take a beautifully designed simply executed cover over an expertly painted, but boring character portrait or overly busy cover any day.

I'll nominate an all white cover. The image of a polar bear in a snowstorm will be striking. And if the title is Marvel (insert variable) #1 its sure to win.

This is it. The Hawkeye cover is very striking, well-designed and framed and leaps out at you. For all Alex Ross' skill, the Masks cover is busy, muddled and muddy. It really doesn't matter how much detail he put into it, I would not notice it on the racks.

I'm not a fan of that cover, but I guess some people love its simplicity.
