Marvel to Help Fans Spend Money on Exclusives at San Diego Comic Con

Looking out for your best interests, the publisher plans to make all of its San Diego Comic Con exclusives available in one place!

Source: Press Release

San Diego Comic Con is the biggest geek culture event of the year, with over 125,000 in attendance each year for the last six years. And with the increasing presence of movie, television, and video game companies at the convention, along with an annoying need for hydration and sustenance, there are a lot of places for the average congoer to spend their money. This means that the average congoer might have the best of intentions, such as a desire to spend $15.99 on a single glass tumbler with a drawing of Spider-Man by Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada printed on it, but, by the time they've found the Joe Quesada Spider-Man drinking glass booth, they've already blown all their money on something else.

Well, luckily for you, consumer, Marvel Comics is looking out for you. They've opened a booth, Booth #2329 to be precise, where you can buy all the overpriced Marvel paraphernalia you like. T-shirts, iPhone cases, comic books, and other crap, all at prices 3-4 times what you would pay in a regular store! It's like going to a major sporting event, but with less of a chance you'll come into contact with someone who has had sex! Thanks, Marvel!

"Don't thank us," said Marvel Editor in Chief Axel Alonso. "We love money."

Below is a list of the Marvel exclusives available at the booth, along with about thirty images they sent us in an email that we're going to haphazardly upload at the bottom of the article before we check and see if any other companies sent us press releases about exclusives so we can use this same article idea multiple times.

Here's the press release:

That would be a good casting. Seriously I'd see no problem if he would get the role. :-)

I don't like cosmic books in general, and have never read an issue of the current GOTG.

But I want that mug too.

I haven't read the current GOTG either, but the post-Annihilation series was very very good.
(of course, I also like the 90s series with mullet-tastic Vance Astro )
They do a good job of making it seem more like a Dirty Dozen/ragtag group than a proper 'cosmic' title.
You should check it out sometime.

I've gotten better SWAG at McDonalds.

Marvel needs to step it up if I'm paying 15-18 bucks for movie tickets.

My Peanuts, and Smurfs from McDonalds

You had to hit Burger King for Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

Shit the 7-11 glasses that Marvel did in the late 70's are better than those.

What would you recommend Marvel sell in place of those?
Suggestions are most appreciated!

Didn't they do an X-Force Marvel Legends box set a few years back? That was pretty tight.
