![]() The last person to tell his employer he needed a little bit of time off was superspy Edward Snowden. Source: Marvel.com A recent Marvel.com article revealed that Ed Brisson will be filling in as guest writer on Secret Avengers during its crossover with the super-mega-crossover event, Infinity. Brisson will replace regular series writer Nick Spencer, who is "taking a break," according to Twitter. While we're happy to see Brisson get some high profile work, we have to wonder just what Nick Spencer is doing that he needs two months off. It's certainly not to advance the plot in Morning Glories, am I right?! In fact, the last time someone told their employer they needed a few months off to take care of some personal issues, Edward Snowden absconded to Hong Kong with four laptops full of classified information about massive government spying and surveillance operations on its own citizens. Is Nick Spencer's break from Secret Avengers part of an elaborate scheme to blow the proverbial whistle on Marvel?! The Outhouse has no choice, in light of all the evidence, and in the absence of a shred of journalistic integrity, but to say, "yes." Nick, as you're running for your life, trying to stay one step ahead of highly trained Marvel assassins out to silence you once and for all, remember that you've got friends at The Outhouse. Friends who would be more than happy to both offer you protection and to reveal your secrets in massively popular, sensational articles that reap millions of unique hits for our website. Call us, babe. As for the rest of you, you can look forward to Ed Brisson's work in Secret Avengers #10 and #11, starting in November. Nick Spencer will presumably be back on the series for issue #12. ![]() Written or Contributed by Jude Terror READ THIS ARTICLE ON THE FRONT PAGE, HUMANS! |
