Are we counting Lucifer and the Angels? They're sexless or whatever (they have no genitalia). Are the fairies supposed to be transgendered? Are we counting the boy actors?

Fack!

I'm not entirely certain characters like Lucifer, Desire, or the Angels SHOULD count. Basically, if they existed BEFORE the very concept of gender did, then they don't count. :)

Yeah, The Endless are pretty much split right down the middle in terms of gender

Female
Death
Despair
Delirium

Male
Dream
Destiny
The Prodigal Brother (No spoilers!)

And Desire is in the middle and is both genders interchangeably and all at once.

Of course: you haven't met the missing brother yet! One of my absolute favourite characters...

Desire kinda reminds me of Prince.

I have now, in the Orpheus story.

It's weird how Fables & Reflections is issues out of order, stuff from before A Game Of You, stuff after it, stuff after Brief Lives even.

I know. But it's actually the best order in which to read the stories - it works better than it did back when I first read the book monthly.

I assume you're reading his speech in Brian Blessed's voice.

No, he's not. He's not a person, he's a "Puh-puh-point of view".

I just re-read Ex Machina again, and it felt really really short. Would have loved a few more years of that.

How long did it run? 50+ issues right?

I think what makes it feel shorter is that there are 10 trades, but they are shorter than normal trades. You expect a 10-volume series to be 70 or so issues long, like Sandman or Preacher.

50 issues drawn by Tony Harris, and 4 'Specials' by Chris Sprouse and JP Leon added to give Harris a break. I read them all as singles, and the arcs are all 3 or 4 issues long which makes it very pacey.
