I've had this argument repeatedly in the past with people who refuse to let go of the notion that the gods were, in fact, immensely flawed and exhibited more human foibles than the people that worshiped them.

Oh the Greek Gods were incredibly petty and vindictive. Even Athena did some horrible stuff and she's generally thought of as one of the more rational ones.

Medusa got raped by Poseiden in my temple? She's going to suffer an enternity of being a hideous monster and then get her head chopped off.

Seems fair.

Here's a link and the answer, maybe, to Chesscub's question.

Spektre: Can you believe that? He said I have no friends! Isn't that outrageous, Mr. Snugglebear?!

Spektre (speaking as Mr. Snugglebear): Of course it is, Spektre. We love you bear-y much.

So you're a wannabe with delusions of grandeur. Gotcha.

Friday, I look my Congressman in the eye and contradict him. I have done so previously with heads of state, and CEOs of Top 10 companies. Mark Waid would be a pleasant distraction. You, not so much.

Zuckerberg: Superman definitely killed Zod, bro. I read it with my own two eyes.

Spektre: That wasn't "Superman." It was "Superman." "Superman" doesn't kill.

Kim Jong Un (pounding fists on the table): Yes he does!

Spektre (jumping up and down): He doesn't! He doesn't! He DOESn't!

You know, Spektre is right. It wasn't Superman whom killed Zod. It was Kal-El. There was no Superman at that point in the film, hence the name Man Of Steel instead. :P

At the end if the day does it really matter? I think of the famous bill Murray speech from meatballs.

That's not negation, that's Burden of Proof Tennis.
