Just watched Gatchaman Crowds.

Slick music.
Animation is interesting.
Reminded me of Tiger & Bunny.
This is a style over substance series.
Reminded me of Panty & Stockings with Garterbelt.

Made me want a good remake of Gatchaman.

"Oh, the pointing again! They're screwdrivers! What are you going to do? Assemble a cabinet at them?"
"Are you capable of speaking without flapping your hands about?"
""Timey" what? "Timey wimey"?"

Note the websites of the dubbing companies but also check in with Anime Networks or here for updates, since licenses change.

Dubbing is kind of dying out. Dubbing costs more and takes longer as they need to rewrite the scripts for the English translation to make sense and lip-sync with the characters. Subs are just translations and text. Most fan groups can turn out an episode subbed in three days at least and that's doing it part time.

Plus, long running series are not always going to get covered totally unless interest keeps up.

Just looked it up, 1-4 were licensed by Funimation and stage 4 was broadcast PPV via Animax.

I also saw that the series just caught up with the manga and there are no more stories to adapt. And here I thought the 5yr break between 4th and 5th was enough

Yeah, that happens too. A number of long running manga turned anime had filler seasons or long gaps between seasons/series. What's funny with some of those gaps is that yes, they can take as long as years between them. These days they wait to see if demand is high enough and then if they can schedule the same staff, actors and get a time slot. Symphogear has it's second season after a year long break. High School DxD is the same.

Ultraman Manga With Schoolgirl Leads Launches on Web

Akita Shoten's free online manga site Champion Tap! debuted Seven Cube, a new take on the Ultraman super hero story starring high school girls, on July 4. The weekly series is being drawn by Manmaru Uetsuki (Go Go Heaven!, Last Boss) based on the original story by Akira Tanizaki (contributor to Zone of Enders, Starship Troopers: Invasion).

The story follows high school girls who happen to be fans of the Ultra Seven tokusatsu (special effects) show. The original live-action show premiered in Japan in 1967.
