Not sure about the sequel.

Definitely the new one. I saw the old one back when it premiered on Nickelodeon almost exactly 23 years ago, on June 30th. :D

Oh. Hmn I think it premiered late last year. I think it is a full-on French production now and dunno where it is playing.

For some reason they look scary to me...

A Look at the Older Hiccup and Astrid in How to Train Your Dragon 2

The thrilling second chapter of the epic "How to Train Your Dragon" trilogy brings back the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years later. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island's new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace.

Watch a New Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Short “No Service”

A second new Mickey Mouse short, No Service, has been made viewable (for American viewers) on Disney’s website. This short is night and day from the first one they made public, Croissant de Triomphe. It has a solid setup, fast-paced but clear direction, character-driven conflict and gags, and most importantly, it’s funny.

Pixar President Ed Catmull on Sequels and Grooming New Talent

Buzzfeed.com has spoken with Pixar President Ed Catmull, who stated the studio’s strategy of releasing “one and a half” films per year, with one original film per year and a follow-up to an earlier film every other year (including the upcoming Finding Dory, the sequel to Finding Nemo). While Pixar’s first 10 films were all original, 3 out of the 4 most recent releases were sequels with Cars 2 and Monsters University receiving lukewarm critical reception even as the studio continued its winning box-office streak.

Catmull also addressed the need to groom new talent to sustain the studio’s legacy, stating, “When Walt [Disney] died, he didn’t pass the baton to anybody else, and so they went downhill after that. So John [Lasseter] and I take very seriously the fact that we need to get people up to the level where they can tell original films.”

I'm not too keen on the new animation or character models they are going with. It really doesn't feel like classic Disney cartoons. Some of it even reminds me of Ren and Stimpy.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold - A 'Season 1' Set is In-the-Works for Blu-ray Disc!

The first season is already on DVD, and has been for a while, as two half-season sets. Now the studio appears to be mustering its efforts to bring this show to high-def Blu-ray Disc as an (apparently) complete season of "Batman: The Brave and the Bold - Season 1." But indications are that it won't be sold in stores; the title apparently is slated to be available strictly online as part of the new Blu-ray efforts of the Warner Archive.
