Honestly guys, if you're not reading Bandette you're really missing out. And it's only 99 cents!

Oh and those voting for Batgirl are wasting their votes. *ahem*

14. Any moments from Batgirl volume 4 loses by default.

Sorry but them's the rules. :P Best just switch votes to something that should deserve it like Bandetta, Walking Dead, or you know the moment tied with it. All them are books a hundred times more deserving than.. THAT book.

It's a Monkeybrain book, by Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover, and to give it a synopsis would not do it justice. Basically, it's about a girl thief in Paris, but more than anything it's a love letter to comics and specifically to the European tradition. Even the name Bandette is the French word for comic strip.

Anyway, it's beautiful to look at, extremely witty and a great deal of fun. The first trade is due out in November from Dark Horse.

And that "rule" is total bullshit. You can't make a rule like that just because you have a stick up your ass about Barbara Gordon. Or have you already conveniently forgotten that Nieto called you out for not being impartial with this thread 2 weeks ago ?

nietoperz wrote:You know, Zechs, this thread and feature really needs to be played straight. As much as you love certain characters, the site has to come first. Unless you reckon you're not impartial enough to actually run this feature...

And in addition, Mussolini Directorate #12 needs to removed also. If there's a tie then that's the way it is. What's the point of us voting if you are once again deciding who wins ?

12. AKA the Zechs BS rule. If several moments are tied past the deadline of 11:00 PM (Central Time) Wednesday (or holiday date when new comics arrive in the US) or when Zechs arrives that night, then voting will continue on in sudden death for eight more hours, until one is decided. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE. If one isn’t still decided, then Zechs will provide the deciding vote regardless if he has voted already.

So? You have an extra day to find voters to vote or else if the voting is still tied I chose? That lingering threat alone should get others to vote for either side before I choose it. :P

Your rebel meddling cannot stop the inevitable. It is the system that has worked and will continue to work as it has done these years. You can have any moment from DC win.. ANY of them, BUT that book. That book alone deserves nothing, because it is nothing. If DC themselves can be bias, SO CAN I. Until they are partial, I will be partial. Until then.. consider this me indulging my inner Herald.

Still, your passion for this book is very clear IvCNuB4. Alright.. state your case as to why I should overlook my rule. Plea to my sensible side why I should overlook a book that doesn't overlook the books of the past? That does nothing, but fester my hatred of DC and why I haven't bought a single issue in a 1 1/2 year and counting.

A book that feels like an absolute slap in the face to people who've read Birds of Prey and Batgirl v. 1 & 3. Tell me why I should buy a book where I see a once beloved writer selling out her ideals. Because that's what this book is. It makes Gail's once noble ideals all mute and null. If your post is passionate enough I will overlook the rule AGAIN. I want to know why you have such love for a book. It still boggles my mind this book sells so well and any time I look at previews or captions I see only the worse storytelling Gail Simone has ever written in her entire career. Yes worse than her arc on Teen Titans with Rob Liefeld. So give me the passionate plea since you're obviously doing all you can to twist this moment into winning.

I will not do anything but judge. No word. I want to hear it. I want to hear why and the reasons why you like this book so much. Why this moment deserves it so very much.
