An anime adaptation of writer Masahide Ichijo and artist Chiku's four-panel manga The Hired Gun (Koroshiya-san) has been green-lit.

The comedy story follows the title character, who is regarded by himself and others as the best hit man in Japan. He goes by the motto, "If I have an assignment, I will kill anything." However, his "killing" assignments have expanded to include everything from summer vacation homework to housekeeping. "The hit man never fails to kill the target. Though he does not aim to, he also never misses the laughter."

The story for Gekijō-ban Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica Shinpen: Hangyaku no Monogatari (Puella Magi Madoka Magica New Feature: Rebellion), the upcoming third Madoka Magica film, was revealed on Tuesday.

This year's 34th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that the upcoming Jump Super Anime Tour 2013 event will screen an exclusive anime adaptation of Yusei Matsui's Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyōshitsu) comedy manga.

The story begins after 70% of the moon was suddenly vaporized in an explosion. The super lifeform responsible for this catastrophe is a strange tentacled creature that can slink around at supersonic Mach 20 speeds. It has a 10 billion yen (US$100 million) price on its head, but for some reason, this creature ends up teaching a middle school class at the beginning of the school year. The students have until graduation to assassinate the teacher, or it will destroy Earth as well.
