![]() FOX's animated families are meeting each other in the Fall of 2014. Source: Scoop: Family Guy Crossover Will Introduce the Griffins to The Simpsons in Fall 2014! Yes a Family Guy and the Simpsons crossover IS HAPPENING. Not a joke. Not a lie. Next fall, in an episode of Family Guy, the Griffins will go to Springfield and meet the Simpsons (all the voice actors from the show will reprise their roles). TvLine has the exclusive, which also details the plot for the episode:
This isn't the first time the two shows have crossed over, loosely speaking. Both have taken shots at the other over the years, with the most overzealous joke being this one. However, last year, a "nicer" joke occured during an episode of Family Guy involving Peter and Homer and the former beating the latter to a plot. Cutaways showing old Simpsons scenes, maybe? Could be good. |

"Stinky thing...plus stinky thing...equals: NOT SMELLY!!" However, this equation does not actually work in real life, as this impending crossover will easily prove. |

Fox must have had to give Groening a pretty big paycheck though as he hates Mcfarlane. |

You do know Mcfarlane isn't the only writer on Family Guy right? And he can change his voice up as witnessed in American Dad and Hellboy 2. I mean I get the annoyance with Family Guy over all but saying Mcfarlane isn't talented just isn't clear cut. The man can sing and can be an extremely good performer and writer, just not seeing it in his current work output. ![]() |

Yeah, I begrudgingly have to agree with you there. The man has an ironically heavenly voice (get it? 'Cause he's an atheist?), and he did work on some classic Cartoon Network cartoons like Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo. And Family Guy was indeed funny for the first two or three seasons. However, as executive producer, he does have final say (or among final) on any scripts he reviews. So even if he doesn't write the redundant rape jokes, recycled premises and annoying remarks that suckle the butt cheeks of the political left, he still approves it. What's more, he's not really doing anything new or dynamic. I don't even watch his shows, and I can tell from the ads that each episode is more of the same. The sight gags and words may be tweaked, but it's all the same. Sometimes you CAN judge a books by it's cover. Really, the most annoying thing is his fanbase, which he can't control. People so utterly convinced that his mediocrity is genius that they'll gleefully bully and attack anyone who disagrees in the slightest. Well, his fanbase and the fact that he managed to sell FOX the same show, three times. |

He performs voices for every episode of Family Guy that airs, he's much more involved in the product that the public gets than Groening is anymore, and that product is garbage. Sure Ted was funny, but it was the same joke he's ran his entire career on. Just watch his painfully unfunny Oscars performance and you'll see that he's a one trick pony that only appeals to a very immature demographic. He is a talented voice actor though, I can't disagree with you there. |

(mind you I'd rather get more of his Emperor Palpatine or what he did with the voice in Hellboy 2) |
