It's that time of the year for Punchy. For women, it's monthly, for him... annual.

Chris wrote:This show was soooo bad for the first 6-10 episodes.. or however long it was until the winter break.

But when it came back in January or whenever, it was much improved and kept getting better as the season progressed. I'm very glad. The finale was good, if not a bit hokey..

I haven't kept up with the new info, though. So this chick ISN'T black canary?

Either way, I never really got the impression that they were going to go down that route with Laurel in the show, and they don't even call her Dinah, so it seemed odd that they would plan for her to still become Black Canary at some point.

I'm ok with a new character being Black Canary, or whatever.

I agree that the show started out rough, but given how they chose to build it, it worked. Watch it now in a marathon and those early episodes are probably better looking to you now.

This will be interesting come the new season, added to the Speedy(s) and other characters being built within the show.
It may still be Smallville Green Arrow meets Nolan, but it's a fun time killer more than Smallville was.

I still think Amell has zero charisma as an actor, which is a problem. But he's good as Arrow.

If they find a way to bring in Bronze Tiger, Richard Dragon and Lady Shiva to the show, I will be so interested.

Bronze Tiger and Brother Blood will both appear in Season 2. Michael Jai White will appear as the former, and Kevin Alejandro will play the latter.

Here's character descriptions for the pair:

Michael Jai White plays Ben Turner, a claw-wielding assassin better known as Bronze Tiger, who’s well known to DC Comics fans as a member of both the League of Assassins and the Suicide Squad. On Arrow, he’ll form an unholy alliance with fan-favorite villain China White (played by Kelly Hu), another well-established character in the DC Comics universe.

Kevin Alejandro plays Sebastian Blood. Drawing inspiration from the iconic New Teen Titans nemesis Brother Blood, Sebastian is an alderman who rises to power in the wake of the earthquake that devastated Starling City in Arrow’s first-season finale. Blood’s “man-of-the-people” popularity instantly places him at odds with Oliver Queen, whose family he blames for the quake.
